This issue has really gone over the top. I recollect Sehwag's statement immediately after the victory when he just brushed it off. Maybe later someone(indian media?) reminded him of the previous Sachin incident and provoked him to issue a public statement. That said, and apology received, the matter has to close but it seems the Srilankan Cricket Board has taken it beyond limits (maybe they have their own axe to grind on someone?) I'm just guessing here but really, I doubt if Sehwag will relish a player getting punished for such an act.

Dear Pillai, do u remember any such incident done by any Indian team member. India cud had done d same thing wid Murli in his last test by not allowin him to get his 800th wiket. Still d Indian players played fair, dey cud had given wiket to other bowler by geting out hit wiket. Stil dey didnt do this. So keep ur mouth shut. Wen wer u wen our players wer handed bans????????
