Icc rules on no ball - India v/s Sri Lanka - 16 th August 2010.
by santosh25781@rediffmail.com on Aug 20, 2010 04:02 PM

Apart from Randiv incident which took place on Ind/SL i think ICC should be more serious with the inccorect rules giving false results, there is a lot of discussion to be done _1_ What if sehwag would hv been stumped by keeper on No ball, india still wins the match, but doesnt display a INT cricketing picture _2_ Last ball doesnt show cricket picture, batsman has hit a siw but score board is silent, was that not a cricketing ball/shot _3_ Every one has got his own idol, team

What if Sehwag had been dismissed...
by Junior Shelly on Aug 19, 2010 08:40 PM

by that no-ball??? The whole issue came up because Sehwag hit that ball for six. Had he been dismissed by Randiv with that delivery, nobody would have given it a damn.

WHAT IS THE ISSUE
by indian on Aug 19, 2010 02:18 PM  | Hide replies

Why so much hue and cry...shewag was given 4 good balls in the last over to score....why did he not do....bowler is free to make mistakes....this issue looks stupid..

You r absolutely wrong in saying that issue is stupid, being positive with whatever happened this matter is totally pointing on ICC to wake up and re build the correct rules, adding additional runs does not harm anything. We all know that in cricket it is always a last ball which gives the result, so in that last ball whatever has actually happened is not displayed on the score card, even the shot has gone worthless. If we are such big fans of cricket it is absolutely shameless to accept this rule on any cricketer. International cricket is formed with an intention to maintain friendly, sporty

yeah you are correct. One thing to note here is that Sanga should openly admit that he told the bowler to bowl no-ball to deny 100 to Sehwag. Why Sanga is acting like innocent here???? Is it not hypocritic?????
Sanga should say that it is their game plan to deny 100 to Sehwag. After all they have not violated any rule.

SEHWAG v. RANDIV
by BISWADEEP SINHA on Aug 19, 2010 01:34 PM

Randiv has already apologized to Sehwag. That proves that the former actually did something wrong. So why is Haroon Lorghat saying that the ICC will step in if Randiv is proved guilty. He has himself admitted to the wrong action.

SANGAKARA IS CHEAP CRICKETER
by smita R on Aug 19, 2010 11:31 AM  | Hide replies

SANGAKARA'S ACT WAS CHEAPER THAN S.AFRIDI'S ACT OF BALL TEMPERING AGAINST AUSTRALIA. S.AFRIDI IS MUCH BETTER THAN SANGAKARA. WHATEVER AFRIDI HAS DONE WAS FOR HIS TEAMN, HE WANTED HIS TEAM TO WIN, BUT SANGAKARA HAS JUST TAKEN IT PERSONALLY AND DID THIS CHEAPEST ACT IN CRICKET'S WORLD. DUE TO HIM ENTIRE SRILANKAN CRICKET HAS TO SUFFER.

When u come on to the ground to play, u always need to treat opponent as ur competitor and play ur game. It is always that spirit which makes u an agressive and a devoted sports man selected by a nation to play at international level. Every team comes with an certain play, no one can be friendly with the game, if ur an true professional. Randiv as an bowler has all the rights to bowl any delivery, this is what actually happens in cricket with all the teams, but why this was noticed on that day is just bcoz ICC rules are not fair enough with the last ball. The winning shot or u can say the last ball results on the score board do not display true cricket.
