Think Mega
it will only increase duration, not the interest
by Think Mega on Aug 13, 2010 04:15 PM

Splitting the innings will not add much spice to the one dayers, further it will increase the match duration by 30 minutes or so. instead of that, innings should be reduced to 40 overs. and the super striker option should be implemented.

Unbeatable and unstoppable T-20!
by Sreeram Ramaswamy on Aug 13, 2010 04:15 PM

This is a combination of one-day and Test but I doubt if this too would bring in crowds. T-20 format has brought in crowds in large numbers, which kept dwindling with one days and Tests. T-20 leagues is a good augur for all stake holders in the game, be it spectators, TV audience, commentators, players, administrators. It's a complete win-win situation for all, but it should be restricted to seasons like in football and the no player should be allowed to play in more than one league like in football else there will be strange situations like in ACTL-T20 coming up in SA next month where some of the players are involved in more than one team and the team picking the player will have to compensate the team of his home country. Personally, I feel that T-20 with its shorter form and plenty of action cannot be shadowed by any other format, not least the test.

good improvement.

good change. did the team batting first continued from the score of 87/4. then it vl b very interesting. as other teams cant judge how much the opponent is going to survive. there is some uncertainty factor which vl add interest in otherwise boring one sided affairs.

Like me,who have never or hardly had played real cricket, would ask not to play matches on ground. Just create animated players and let the spectators from each country play against other country. With this,India can never lose a match keeping in mind so many BPO/Call Center employees.

Change is imminent
by Sanjay Ranawat on Aug 11, 2010 04:49 PM  | Hide replies

Scrap 5 day TEst Cricket, 50 overs ODI and T20s. Make 20 overs of 4 innings the new test cricket and make 10 overs a side (T10s) the new instant cricket format. This will make Cricket No 1 Sport all over the world.

Tomorrow I wont be surprised if you ask to make T5 with 5 innings of 1 over each.

Hey the idea is good! however I would prefer 4 innings with 5 overs each for T10s too! this would be fun and most of the world famous games like football and tennis lasts around for this much time (like T10s)! Great suggestion from Ranawat!
