But you have freedom to say what you feel is correct and stop hyping mediocrity, and that is what I expect from people like you.

Its not mediocrity of Dhoni.. If u think media is hyping Dhoni, what do u expect from Dhoni?? Go to the press meet and say "Please dont hype me??"
As far as i concern, he is a good ODI player.. Technically not so strong, but has temperament more than anyone else..

By now you must have realised...LG is a mediocre hyped human being...total crap...

Aam Adami, as consumers, are more powerful than media.
I do not agree with when you say that he is a good ODI player. Why? Simply because he always manipulate his batting position based on the pitch and score for maintaining his average and ranking.

Ok dude. >Even if u manipulate batting position, u still need to score runs.. Dhoni has scored runs not only at no.3 and no.4.. But in no.6 too at a healthy strike rate..
Tests are different.. He s a good keeper and battingwise, need to improve a lot.. But it doesnt mean he can never improve!!

exactly.....afterall not every one is as good as dravid....who plays for "team needs" rather than averages and milestones....plays at any batting order and take up any role (wicket keeping)..and succeeds in it...india needs those kind of players

more than any one else..!!!! wow...what a joke... just a lower middle order batsmen who excels under "flat pitch" conditions....no proper technic....
Dhobi started believing foolishly that T20 WC win was made possible by talent and skills of the players involved. Which, in fact, was a fluke; as has been proved by failure to win next two T20WCs. So, he started talks of "seniors and youngsters".
Dhobi could forced Ganguly out because relatively poor form of Ganguly(especially against pace bowling in later part of his career) and, more than that, regional politics.
But I have not doubt in my mind that Ganguly, though a bit arrogant at times, was always a determined and skillful player.
Re: Ganguly Exit
by satish chandar on Aug 11, 2010 01:28 PM
Ganguly exit was simply at higher level..
He enjoyed huge freedom in Dalmiya regime and when Pawar came to power, they replaced enryone who supported Dalmiya.. Unluckily, Ganguly fought with Greg Chappel and the selection comittee and paid price for that..
Dhoni may not be the direct reason for Ganguly exit.. It was collective effort by everyone, including Sachin, Dravid.. Even selectors..
Atleast they gave him an offer to get a final series.. Some players dint get it too!!

good for nothing player, who hardly fought at the middle for indian test victories.....allways sat at dressing room and "enjoyed" watching dravid and laxman fight for victories, no fitness, no bowling, no batting, never willing chase the ball, never willing to run quick singles....and still played for team india for such along period.!!!! dont u call this politics..??? greig chappel exposed him and kicked him out for "faking" injuries and skipping matches when there is a bit of grass on the pitch.....later part of his career india was playing with 10 men and dravid taking responsibility of keeping wickets...such were his "credentials"...
What Indian Selectors and Team Management are doing?
They are NOT DOING any ‘Basework’ / ‘Analysis’ / ‘Preparation’ before any series.
JUST ONE INSTANCE :
If they had done some BASE WORK – they would have thought about following :
1. All matches will be played in Dambulla. 2. The pitch of Dambulla offers lot of bounce. 3. Remember 5th ODI between Sri Lanka and India 27-Dec-10, when Sri lanka abandoned the match due to ‘HIGH BOUNCE’ after 23.3 overs. 4. The high bounce which Sri Lanka found difficult to play was from - SUDEEP TYAGI. 5. Before introduction of Sudeep Tyagi Sri Lanka was able to play, but found him too-bouncy to play. 6. If selectors had done home work – they would have included Sudeep Tyagi – who would have been more effective on this Dambulla pitch

"bullshit".....wakeup.....it's a shame on indian cricket if u call a "phalthu" pitch prepared by delhi as a bouncy pitch......it's under prepared, not suitaed to play kind of pitch....dont write "rubbish" things like this...
I don't blindly support or condemn anybody... till recently...nobody used to criticise Dhoni....as soon his 200cr deal was reported, he has become the cynosure of all eyes... well...good neighbours become scoundrels when we notice that they have suddenly become multi millionaires....isn't it?

The Reason behind the hatred is not the 200 Cr Deal, But his approach.
The way simply blasting at the failure of batting because of bouncing balls in T20 WC recently, "spongy" pitch at dambulla and then just keep on playing without much solution for it, as if we cant do anything more.
Its a known fact that win or loss are part of the game, but when you have got so many things in your bag - like selecting a same person every now and then, giving him more chances even though there was a consistent failure.
We very well know that Ganguly's exit was due to Dhoni, but people accepted it as Dhoni as a captain gave more winning efforts in which he himself contributed.
But from last few months we dont see any personal contribution from the captain himself.

Well,on Saurav's exit: there are different stories...some even say it was Sachin bcos Saurav had branded him as a traveller or tourist when he was failing consistently...so he teamed up with Greg Chappell...that's one story. Personally, I don't see any reason for Dhoni getting involved in Saurav's ouster. On Dhoni's failure...everybody goes through bad patches..it happened with Rahul,Sachin, Saurav,Laxman..and u can name many...

i doubt the Sachin bringing down story. Thats soo much of horsepile there. Ganguly's form had waned before his ouster the first time.
Its just plain old politician dhobi with his kroni Yuvraj, that caused ganguly exit

even if you google "why ganguly was dropped" there is a cricinfo article which clearly mention - It is believed that the captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, wanted to stick with a majority of the squad that won the World Twenty20 last September

Seniors, Youngsters talk will come for every captain dude..
Not only with Dhoni.. Even Dada had same yardstick to include Bhajji in place of kumble in ODI's and Kaif for VVS..
In VB series, VVS scored 3 100's and was dropped after a single ODI series stating his fielding/Running between wkts as reason!!
Is Ganguly a good fielder?? How many times have he run out VVS and Dravid??

yes, thats most likely the story. This sachin causing Saurav ouster is garbage.
