Man why ur quarlling like children.....u r taken those name All are great.but one think is we have to belive (dont campare any other )he is the Best bats nman for best Bowling side 7 for worst situation....like Presser Crooker..
This is what I want in an Indian team. When 1 or more persons in the team gets out the other MUST STAND for the nation. Not like dominoes rumbling.Well done by VVS Laxman.
In Indian Cricket team seniors as well as good players (juniors) also should be given a chance to represent India for one day matches as well as test matches so that they can prove their ability in presence of audience.

Looks like this teachmmobile is drunk. What relevance has this with cricket. Try getting rehab idiot.
when under pressure, sachin literally pees in his pants(not always though, but most of the time), whatever u say about his stats(but not everyone is allowed to play 169 tests and thousands of ODIs eyyyyyyyyyyyy?????)

Krishi do not speak when u do not know any thing .....if sachin departs without supporting laksman ,,,i.e stopping an end .... no one could have won the game or india not even laxman

You are reallly a person who is born to oppose only and have only negative attitude.go to hell and then see your face.your level is not to talk about sachin.

I agree Krishi... Sachin is only good when the playing condintions are good, and especially when the pressure level is very very low.. How many times have we seen this..remember the test against pak, when he lost his cool and made india loose,,the 1996 test against WI, when had to chase less than 200 and lost.the numerous one day internationls when chasing got tough..and most recently in the IPL finals.. In addition to that, ST has also proved how much of a disaster he is as a batsman.. people like Ponting and all scored runs while undergoing captaincy pressure..while sachin couldnt even stand it, and so refused to take up the role.. In spite of all this, very surprising to see so many INdians still calling him "GOD" and all..when he has never performed any miracles till now!!! Way to go Laxman...without U we would not have levelled the series!!

Sorry..correction.. please "disaster as captain"..not :"disaster as batsman"

Hahaha ! You have a great knowledge of "everything" . I don't want to comment about someone being allowed to play 169 tests. However it is amazing that idiots like you are allowed to comment about anything and everything.

sujith, take time and list down all matches won by laxman and sachin and c for urself who tops it... with all due respect to laxman and his special innings if wickets wud have falled in the opposite end this wud have been a repeat of chennai match. fortunately for lax this SL team does not have saqlian, wasim...
he is class player of all time.he never got what he deserve.he is a great player.if he will play till the age of 37 yrs he will b at 10000 run without any daught.he always give answer from his performance to critics.
Re: great inning sir
by Sports Lover on Aug 08, 2010 01:48 PM
He is almost 36 years old and I don't think any player ever has scored 2600 runs in a year. I don't think he'll reach 10k runs.
whoaaa...please stop comparing vvs with sachin guys....i dont want to state the obvious but jus look at the stats..sachin average 56 vvs 43...wake up please..god is after all god
VVS - Very Very Special should actually read Very Very Sidelined
Thats because if Tendulkar or Sehwag or even Dhoni help india win, then there are huge posters and even bigger headlines on the fron page. But if Laxman does the same, the praise is very subdued.
I think it is something to do with Laxman not being a media favorite or having any huge endorsements.
Anyway, being the hard working cricketer he is, I guess he will carry on and on..
By the way, for the un informed, his average in Test matches played in 2010 is like Don Bradman's between 99 and 100 PER INNING.

by RKD on Aug 08, 2010 11:25 AM
I do not understand that why the psycho people like Sai Prakash are so offended on VVS ? Why they are comparing this flop cricket player with renowed players of the world? Sai Prakash is stating that if Tendulkar wins the match than whole page of the newspaper is covered. But why he compares Sachin Tendulkar with VVS...? Where is Raja Bhog like Sachin and where is Gangu Teli like VVS ? VVS scores in double figures once in blue moon .. still he is in cricket team due to behest of southern lobby in Team India... He has done good in yesterdays cricket match..but it should not happen that people should guage him with GOd of Cricket... Sachin is Sachin... where as there are thousands of VVS all around.

What is RKD taking about...southern lobby???? People like you make this sporting world a corrupted and lobby centered.. Leave sport apart from politics. Also please check the records of India winning after VVS does well and Sachin does well in percentage...you will know by yourself. And stop these lobby bussiness...

I agree. Raina utilised the opportunity that came his way because of Yuvraj's fake injury. Players like Raina and Kohli should be encouraged because they are able to deliver under pressure while Yuvraj and Sreeshanth fake injury quite often because of their fear of failure.
