The great thing with your IFFY logic is that you can prove anything with an IF..

IF Prinyanka GandhiJee played cricket she would have won more matches than she played, and hence Viru should learn how to win matches from Priyanka GandhiJee... :)

here is the funny thing , find players who last for 160 tests . Also i am curious as to why you view sehwag higher than sachin , even though sachin is sehwag's rolemodel and sehwag considers an honor to share the batting crease with tendy.

Oh wait ... I know , you are the IPL junk who likes mindless slogging kind of cricket. Sehwag , has basically been given the license to bat as he pleases irrespective of the circumstance. Which is fine by the way, since he would fail if asked to suppress his natural game.

Thats why no one really is affected when sehwag gets out after making few quick runs. Because in everyones mind , they believe sehwag will hit out or get out.

Ricky Ponting - 146 Tests
Rahul Dravid - 141
Jacques Kallis - 140
Mark Boucher - 134

And now chk how many recodes these players hold...

Moreover it’s not easy to play for more than 20 yrs...How many players do you know who have played for more than 20 yrs in any sport?

Not so.. But for sure he would have made more runs andd records as he would not have been the only "sole" performing batsmen in the team and he would have played under less pressure.Remember that Sachin knew once he was out the match would easily be lost. Remember Chennai 1996 against Pakistan,Tendulkar played with a aching back and made 136, was out only India were 17 short of winning and 4 wickets in hand and we lost the test. Definiltely 4 Australian tailenders would have easily score 17 runs.

1) Dhobi holds the record you dimwit and dhobi hasn't done anything in any ICC tournament

2) So how is it Tendy's problem ? What about the 44324324 lives that opposition players get when they play India ? Jeez I would call you stupid, but I think I would be insulting the phenomenon called " stupidity"

3) Check the records , Tendy has been the most unlucky player when it comes to umpiring decisions. He probably holds the record. last ODI series in sri lanka he was given out 3 times a row and all 3 times he was not out. I would ask you to die of shame, but insects like you don't die of Shame either. We need a good insect repellent

Personal Record is Team Record
by Free Free on Aug 04, 2010 08:05 PM  | Hide replies

If Sachin made personal records then use ur common sense that those personal record runs got added to the teams total. If he does well in records then so does the team.

Wat does most MOM & MO series mean to u guys? Personal records? If yes, then ur idiot.

Personal record was Lara's 400. Windies just kept playing 4 days against australia & got the match draw just so that lara can reach 400. Sachin wud never do that

You are wrong... West Indies were batting first, Lara scored 200 on Day 1 and they declared on Day 2 after Lara made 400... Any team will do that today (Bat for 2 days if they are in a good position).

England batted, out before they could avoid follow on, followed on and batted all through the remaining of the test and it ended in a draw...!!

So West Indies did not make ANY MISTAKE by LETTING Lara score 400 runs in that test!

No lara batted for 2.5 days , effectively ruling any result. I think they were pretty close to bowling england out. Think they were 5 wickets short and had they had about 1/2 day, they might have won.

Unsuccessful Captaincy
by Jaspal Arora on Aug 04, 2010 07:43 PM  | Hide replies

Tendulkar was a poor captain and could not tolerate the pressure of leading, I was die hard fan but when he refused to be captain he just became a great batsman not a player.
Now I think he can't achieve the feat of Successful captain as we already have Dhoni the great..lead qualities are surely missing in him...which u can see in Kapil Dev, Steve Waugh , Ranatunga...and Dhoni in today

No Ganguly Restructured the team , and To be honest Ganguly was a better leader of men than Tendy.

Not everyone is captain material anyways. Problem with Tendy is " he demands perfection" . Him setting high standards for himself kind of had a bad side effect while he was leading.

Also we got better bowlers in the 2000's than in the 90's

We had 1 decent support bowler srinath and 1 strike bowler Kumble and thats it.

Starting this decade we got zaheer khan , nehra , bhajji who were way better than the bowlers they replaced. Hence change in performance.

If you observe , we were doing really well 2007-2008 onwards in foreign pitches because the bowlers were in good form.

Now the bowlers form goes bad and we struggle. Bowling is our weakness , not batting.

Ha ha.. Sachin was simply given the worst team possible in the history..

Ppl like Jacob martin, Abhijit Kale, Bowlers like Bahatule, Robin Sngh jr, and so many genius like them played under them..

Ganguly had the backup of Dalmiya and they both really worked together in a positive way!! Having Wright as coach was really an added advantage for them to put the points in polite way...

Ganguly had the freedom and got what he wanted.. Sachin dint have it and had to play with what he got.. Thats the difference..

yeah but he himself step down from captaincy and agreed that he could not perform under pressure of captaincy.. u can see his individual records even.
Also thats what role of captain is to take out best from the average players.
When tendulkar himself agreed that he can't perform under captaincy pressure then there is nothing left over here ..
now i think he probably needs a new start of his cricket life to become captain so that record will always be untouched by him...
