Its unfortunate that we Indian laurel in past glory and fail to see the raelity. Dravid was once upon a time a good batsman, i repeat once upon a time. He should retire gracefully.
Failing match after match and still wasting a place in the Indian team is reaaly what India does not want if it has to stay in the No 1 spot in test ranking.
the writing on the wall for Dravid should be loud and clear - RETIRE......

cant agree more...its time for dravid and for laxman also..i dont know what are they waiting for..they are very predictable and have lost those reflexes while batting..they both are just hanging with the benefit of sachin being there...what a disgrace...
only shewag is capbale to win the match for india, if he plays 350 odds balls i am sure he will make more then what sachin made in 2nd test shewag is geneous

Sehwag plays even today like what Sachin used to play in his prime. No doubt about that. I am sure people will agree that he is more exciting to watch than Sachin.

He has not been lucky the way Veeru and Tendulkar in this innings. Both have survived close umpiring decisions.

if you saw him, he is in form, patience brother. He hasnt played competetive cricket for months now. He should be back with a bank next series. If you observed , he has had starts in this series, just hasn't been able to capitalize.

y these bloody idiots comment absolute nonsense abt such a quality batsman in the world.....y dont they sit n watch his footwork, balance, timing, ability to concentrate n play long inningses, building partnerships....above all playing for team needs rather than personal mile stones......if they do, they will learn a thing abt batsmenship and test cricket.....

You could have said about Tendulkar if Sangakkara had not dropped him at 0 and Prasanna dropped his sitter at 29 in last match.Tendulkar survived a very confident appeal at 147 and went on to make his 5th double century. Dravid is not that lucky.
What if the umpire had given out Tendulkar today:
34.5 Randiv to Tendulkar, no run, Loud shout for lbw Again, from round the stumps, it lands on middle and leg and turned to hit the pad in front of leg. Probably turning down leg or would it have hit the leg? Let's wait for the replays..Hawk eye says it would have hit the top of the leg stump.
Its bit of luck that Tendulkar is enjoying, Dravid is not. :-))

Prabhu don't write like an idiot. You refer to Dravid's statistics. He has scored more than 11,000 runs for India. Every player faces such drought of runs. M Jayavardhane is a striking example. He was in low form till recently when IPL gave his life back. See how is batting now. Learn to respect senior cricketers.
There is every possibility of India turning the tables on Sri Lanka if Viru and Sachin continue to play the way they are doing now and establish a lead of 150 plus and then our spinners Ojha and Viru take wickets. Yes, in the absence of Harbajan, Dhoni should use Viru more for getting wickets. Has he forgotten what he did against S. Africa?
