Indian spectators are worse
by Praveen Kumar on Aug 06, 2010 01:37 AM

I've been to quite a few matches at different stadiums in India and always been embarrassed at the behaviour of the Indian spectator. Making vulgar remarks at foreign cricketers and cheerleaders, throwing water bottles at them, shouting vulgar slogans - even directed towards Indian players. I feel for the Indian cricketers, they have to keep their calm even though they can understand the dirty comments being passed. If they react, the media makes a big issue out of it and the player is considered hot headed.

Biased Rediff again ..

Do you call this journalism? Rediff has shown again how biased they are against the players from North. The author twisted the facts to accuse Yuvraj of showing middle finger.

Look at the picture and tell me if Yuvraj is showing middle finger? Shame on you Rediff! You post a lie as article with a picture that do not support your article. Yuvraj is clearly pointing his index finger in this picture.

Now a few words for the sambhar guzzling readers of Rediff. You accept a blatant lie from Rediff because you are biased yourself. Take off your prejudiced goggles and read the article with the corresponding picture. Now if you are a genuine person, you will admit that Rediff was wrong in manipulating your opinion agaisnt Yuvraj Singh.

How quickly you brought Yuvraj down to ridicule. Would you do the same for Dravid or VVS? My guess would be "No". Both of these players have failed miserably and still get their asses in the team. Yuvraj scored a century against BP XI and a half century in the first test. Raina deserves the place in the team but not at the cost of Yuvraj. He should have replaced Dravid or VVS.

@Arv Singh
you are too stupid to realise that the picture accompanying this news article is a file shot of Yuvraj most probably taken during a practice session and not when the said incident had taken place during the course of the match.

FYI: when he was carrying water for the team mates he was in full whites.

Coming to your criticism of South Indians and hinting at conspiracy and mal-intentions, you make yourself sound even more dumb.

Talking about Dravid and VVS "failing miserably", you'd be able to understand if you really follow cricket, that these two players have been among the most prolific scorers in the past decade aiding in the revival of Indian Test Cricket and under the leadership of Ganguly proved to be a formidable line-up. Rahul is going through a rare lean patch but VVS has been in good form - always performing when it matters.

Yuvraj has been given more chances than any other contemporary batsman and he's yet to prove himself. Just look at his pathetic batting average - mid 30s.

Nothing more to add!

yuvi might have lost his golden touch, but that does not justify the behaviour of the spectators. If the same treatment is reciprocated to many lankan players who are out of form how would they react. one should say that, yuvi was very dignified in just showing his middle finger and not shving it up in the rearend of one of those illbehaved lankan fan.
