Selectors have done good in picking Karthik. Whats the need for vinay kumar, there are plenty of bowlers in the team and also vinay is just a mediocre paced bowler who cant extract much bounce also due to his height. D.karthik will make a good opener and you cant expect a bowler for a batsman.

V Kumar should have been a must in the team.. He performed far far better than Dinda in the Zim tour.. But due to some reason, he is being ignored by selection comitttee..
I think Karthik is a must especially with Sachin rested.. He had been the replacement for any opener in recent times and is going it to satisfactory levels.. Not sure whether Uthappa is fit now or not!!

Actually India will hardly change batting combination. But one bowler will change in almost each match. V.Kohli can do opening with Sehwag.

sorry jacob. you can only cusrse Indian cricket fans but unable produce 1 international footbal plyer after following the gane since 50-60 years.
& you will not suceed another 50 years as you blindaly follow european/latin american style.... 1st create own style of game...atleast produce 1 (or half) international player 1st.

Shakti Kapoor.. Think before you write.. Football is followed all over and it is foolish if is not followed.. but cricket.. US, China, Germany, Brazil, Russia.. the super powers in sports do not play..
He will b happy. But to b frank, he should not b 1st ranked guy. He can play against Asian countries oly. Not against AUS SA and ENG like countries. He too knows that, thats y he celebrated like anything when he made a century against india which is dead batting wicket. Event greats like mcgrath cannot take wicket in that pitch.
