a little from my point of view: Sehwag Gambhir Rohit Sachin Raina Dhoni Pathan Zaheer Nehra (use him in short spells) Bhajji (at elast he can take some wickets on Indian pitches) Ojha/Mishra
ODI team: Sehwag Sachin (should play ecause I think that would be last or second last ODI series ahead of WC) Gambhir Rohit Raina Yuvi Dhoni Zaheer Nehra Parveen Ojha

Pandey, there was no need for Mangal pandey to join the videshi East India company british forces .... Nobody asked him to join and then rebel.
I can choose karthik is better than rohit sharma. Puticulary in odi matches. He is most consistent batsman compared to rohit sharma. Except last 2 series rohit sharma average is only 22. He got 2 hundered in zimbawe series. Thus why its average is 31.5. otherwise rohit is not consistent batsman. Dinesh karthik capable of batting at any slot and he can able to play as wicket keeper

we don't need an extra wicet keeper because Dhoni isn't gonna miss any series he wants to play in. Rohit is anytime better than kartik. He must bat at no-4 as he did in Zimbabwe and did very well!

Karthink is a filler player and who can fill for anyone.. Rohit should be persisted with the middle order slot where he can develop himself into a reliable player.. He deserves some chances for his ability alone.. I agree he has failed many times.. but him and Kohli only looks like players who have the potential to carry on after the big guns retire.. They should learn as much as they can and improve with experience..
Team india has always been poor in bowling department. In my view a chance should be given to RP SINGH.because he is the one bowler who has been bowling at decent speed and swing .at least he is far better than prest fast bowlers........ I dont think india should deserve no 1 position in test ranking. india has the weaker bowling department in the subcontinent itself

he is referring to ajay jadega and Robin singh :) not ravindra jadeja and Robin Uthappa...Lol
With Bhajji gone we are one batsman short. Yuvraj could have replaced him. But he is too fat and injured so we are one bowler short on account of Yuvrajs absence. Selectors will have a hard time cobbling up 10 able bodies to play with the supposed "old man" Tendulkar.

We have Mithun who is more responsible batsman than unpredictable Bhajji.. but Bhajji is surely entertaining batsman!!

remmeber Mishra is the same guy whose 1 performance of 4-5 wickets was shown time and again on Tv and virtually forced Kumble to retire ?
This is the problem we have , friggin knee jerk reaction ediots. Look where Mishra has been after the Aus series ? NO WHERE , he had 1 good series and in that series he got Anil Kumble to retire .

Maybe the same is true of Ishant Sharma - another 1 series wonder. After his first series in Australia - where he was a great success, he has not d one anything of note. However, teh press hypes him up so much that Sharuk paid almost a $1m for him in the IPL. Since then most batsmen treat him as a lunch buffet. But he may have cost Irfan a place in the team.

Ishanth was good for almost a year and half , I think. The true damage was done by this mishra chap who doesn't even have the commitment to be in the team.
He and Ojha should not be in the team, these blokes perform subpar virtually every time and don't even have the decency to attend all practice / training sessions as asked by the coach.
there are few players who succeed in two continuous one dayers or tests. we can attempt to keep the player or the players who succeeded on bench for the next game and play the one who did not fare well. he has to succeed or else he will asurely go out of the next time. that should i feel keep the team in winning ways until it becomes a habit.
