IPL &T 20 World cup
by great maratha on Apr 30, 2010 04:40 PM  | Hide replies

Is IPL really proving to be a preparation for the world cup.Sehwag is out of the world cup after he injured himself in the IPL.All the Indian players played against each other as opponents. Can they gel as a team in such a short period.
There was an unpleasant incident between Harbhajan and Shrisanth last year.Do you think Shrisanth can wipe out memories of the nasty slap from Harbhajan so easily .Will he dive for a catch of Harbhajans bowling with the same effort.
Do you think our players are really charged up and have the intensity and fire for a world cup or are they already ehhausted after an irrelevant and useless tournament like IPL

Competitive Indian Team
by shashi kant on Apr 30, 2010 04:23 PM  | Hide replies

Considering the competitive nature of our Indian Cricket team, i wont be too surprised if Afghanistan vs India match also becomes competitive. After all India is the only team which can give competition to all the teams like Bangladesh, Kenya and so on.

Can Beat
by Naveen Haldhar on Apr 30, 2010 04:13 PM

Yes they can beat India. Indian players now are less interested in national pride as they have already earner a lot from IPL. Thus it is very much possible that Afganistan beat us. You won't be surprised that after loosing Indian players would be found in any night club enjoying with Girls. They don't have any emotions remains.

Surprise Indeed!!!

The only way they can surprise us by bringing Grenades & AK 47's to the field! This kind of false bravado can come only from foolish people. They are yet to step into cricket they tongue has started wagging! They will be walloped by every team.

Stop this crap my friend...Ever faced a man holding a AK-47 against u...i promise u will wet ur pants without an effort...

we should encourage them my friend...the afghans have always been simple and innocent people. They have always been used by Russians, Americans, Pakis, fundamental Taliban and to some extent even we Indians... Give them a break. Have u ever thought of living in a war stricken country...u have been lucky to have born and raised thru a moderate environment...u lose nothing by encouraging them to play this sport. Who knows people laughed at Sri Lanka when they came in...didn't they surprise the world? Afghans have lived in pressure situations all through their lives. Who knows they come out mentally very tough...

I am already surprised. How did they qualify for the world cup? With the amount of violence and insecurity in their country how do they get time to play cricket.I have seen pictures of football stadiums being used for punishing people by barbaric acts.
Has Afghanistan ever won an olympic meadal?

Indian cricketers should watch for afghan cricketers wearing bombs inside.. they might blow themselves up if given out particularly when everyone comes to huddle themselves after a dismissal..
