20:20 neither cricket nor football
by subrata banerjee on Apr 30, 2010 01:56 PM

20:20 will ruin the entire ageold glamour of cricket tradition and therefore should be banned immediately nationally and also internationally. It neither provides the excitement of football nor it completes with 1.45 minutes. Ad people and the organisers and the operators gain maximum out of this kind of 20:20 tourni.

Hang people running BCCI
by Vijaya kumar on Apr 30, 2010 01:40 PM  | Hide replies

Hall of Shame for the entire country in this regard.

how come BCCI office bearers and IPL governing body not aware of this fact.

Lalit,is the only professional guy in the entire Cricket world in India. Corruption is everywhere in India (starting from getting a birth certificate till dealth certificate). This is how the missions functions.

Government should focus on those and not on Lalit & co....

Govt. is very soft because they feel a lot of their ministers may have been involved in the billion $ scandal...

they need to be transparent....just because you came to power and have numbers in parliment you cannot do whatever you want to...

End of the day, the same people who voted is to blame....India is not yet like Americans and it can happen only in next 50 yrs (that too am not sure)...

this will continue...we will keep blogging...

Spare politicians as they are above board and they didn't know any thing untill it was aired through media.
Look at Raja giving clean chit to himself.
We shold understand that politicians are very very clean people to the core and they will never stoop such levels.

Because of match-fixing our neta's have interest in BCCI.
by pankaj s on Apr 30, 2010 01:37 PM

Match fixing is nothing new for indian subcontinent. Every player is involved in some or the other way in fixing the game for opposition. Large chunk of money is spent on parties, models, bribe etc. to players. Captains are not interested in new players to be included in team because of match fixing. They stick to same old chunk because of their agreement on fixing and other things. Whereever there is money our neta's will reach there and cricket is not an exception.

Your are right John Rambo.... Gamblers will always remain gamblers... As the saying goes Bad Habits Die Hard... that is why i too had suggested making betting legal... that or execute all the cricket crazy bookies in the world (which i think is next to impossible).
