NOT SELECTION OF ENOUGH PACERS
by harshad bajaj on Apr 30, 2010 08:12 PM  | Hide replies

Blunder is that in 15 men squad only 4 pacers
this disappoints me a lot.
Take a close look on these statics

T-20 WORLD CUP 2007:
INDIA PLAYED EACH MATCH WITH 4 PACERS

STATICS: LOST ONLY ONE TO NEWZELAND WON REST ALL OTHERS

T-20 WORLD CUP 2009:
INDIA PLAYED EACH MATCH WITH THREE (3) PACERS

STATICS: OUT IN FIRST ROUND

HERE NOW AS THERE ARE ONLY FOUR PACERS IN 15 MEN SQUAD THERE WILL ONLY BE THREE IN PLAYING 11.

HENCE CHANCES OF INDIA WINNING THIS T-20 WORLD CUP ARE NEGLIGIBLE.

HOW FAR WE CAN RELY ON BATTING.
IF THERE IS NO PACE ATTACK THE INDIAN BOWLING ATTACK WILL BE MILK AND MEAT FOR OPPOSITION TEAM BATSMEN.

THE CONDITION WILL BE SIMILAR AS THAT WAS THERE BEFORE ARRIVAL OF KAPIL DEV TO INDIAN CRICKET

I ALSO WANT TO MENTION THAT AUSTRALIANS AND SOUTH AFRICANS ARE FINED HEAVILY DUE TO SLOW OVER RATE STILL THEY PLAY EVERY MATCH WITH FOUR PACE BOWERS

IF I WOULD HAVE BEEN WOULD HAVE SELECTED TEAM WITH MINIMUM 5 NEW BALL BOWLERS
WHY THERE IS ALLERGY TO OUR SELECTORS FROM PACERS?

Dear Mr.Bajaj,
Yes, India is not playing good seamers.
India's spinners are match winners. In olden days it was Anil bhai only. Now a days there are H Singh, R Jadeja, P ojha, A mishra, M karthik, R Ashwin and P Chawla. Our spinners are quiet dangerous than our fast bowlers.
his has become a tradition I feel. If u look at the past, India played a lot of matches with 2 pacers,2 spinners and 2 or 3 part timers.

However, now a days we got really good seamers. Some of them (in good touch) are RP Singh, Harmeet singh, A Dole,P Sangwan. But I really feel nobody is as good as Malinga,Steyn,W Parnell,S Bond or D Bollinger.
I really feel a lot that we missed I Pathan, who has shown that he is back into his rhythm. But MSD has other plans to approach the game. I expect that he might play 3 spinners at times. Infact he has more part time spinners.

The strongest XI
by kaladharsamy on Apr 30, 2010 03:38 PM  | Hide replies

The strongest Indian XI would be,

1. Gauti ( Naman Ojha is a strong contender for this slot, but I expect Gauti can get to his cool rhythm soon because there is no capitaincy weight is on his head )
2. Vijay ( Gets runs by good cricketing shots at great pace consistently in this season )
3. Suresh Raina
4. Robin Uthappa ( A hell hitter, who can be used in any slot 4,5,6 depending upon the situation, can be used as a triumph card [like pollard did for MIs] )
5. MS Dhoni
6. Yusuf Pathan / R Sharma ( Yusuf is the hardest hitter, Sharma is a constructor who goes to the middle and constructs victories - So here it is upto the situation that, what it demands )
7. Pragyan Ojha - who is in dream form, can exploit the slow and low pitches in WI
8. Harbhajan
9. Zaheer
10. Nehra - There are discussions going about Nehra, Guys do not forget that an year back, he was the only reason behind our One Day Series Win against The Carribeans (Indians played there immediately after the T20 world cup failure )
11. R Jadeja - The third spinner, the same IPL tactics by MSD to the pitches that suits spinners.

Points to remember :
* At times we have to rest our beloved matchwinners. Some of them are Yuvi, Ishanth, R Sharma, A Mishra, etc...
* We have to select the players in form
* In the lost T20 world cup, we went with Ishant instead of Nehra who was the better bowler next to RP Singh ( we missed RP too ), that I feel a great mistake.

Hey yar,Yuvi is a confidence player. There is a statistics in one day games, if Yuvi scores 45 in a game then India wins. I never forget the game he played against England with M Kaif. If this T20 cup is venued at Australia, I would bet 100% that Yuvi will be the player of the series.( The wickets will suit so much to him). But now I worry a lot about his form and level of confidence and the shot selection.
OK, Every thing we expect from him is an ensured stay at the crease and runs at good pace. Let Yuvi play an important role in this tournament.
But do not say that, India can not win a single game without Yuvi.

I trust, the boys I selected got wonderfull talent. Under MSD, they get really cool and they play their natural game. They show great temperament and attitude in quiet a few games in the IPL, and under MSD they form the strongest team.
Be one of the vitnesses of the Billions of cricket fans from India, the joyfull hitting of Vijay; reasonful hitting of R Sharma and hardest hitting of Y Pathan.

In place of Ravinder Jadeja, Ashish Nehra & Piyush Chawla Robin Uthapa, Srisanth & Pragyan Ojha must be selected for indian T-20 world cup squad which will definetely increase the chances of winning WC T-20 Matches over even world cup---- replaced
