I believe D Karthik and Vijay are selected based on Tamil feelings. There is no doubt about it. I feel that Chawla and Nehra are unnecessary adds to the team. Rather than above4, selection committee should have gone for some of the players like Rayudu. S Tiwari, M Tiwari, Uthappa, A Nair, Pujara or Manish Pandey. I don;t udnerstand why Murali Karthik was not considered for indian team.
Also there is no way that Vijay and Karthik are better players than Rayudu, Tiwaris, Manish Pandey or RObin Uthappa.

Nonesense. Please look at domestic cricket. These are best players. Vijay has one of the best averages in first class. In taking players in twenty20, you should consider sound technique.

Syed Bhai - If that's the case, then Pujara has better record than Vijay. His first class average, runs, centuries are more than Vijay

no no it is not correct... D. Karthik is the second wicketkeeper and murli vijay is the replacement of sehbagh Opner batsman of indian team.

Also this is the time, Selection committee should reevaluate players like Yuvraj singh and RG Sharma. Eventhough they are highly talented, they need to score consistently.

Sudhakaran - You want Vijay and Karthik just because they are from tamil nadu. I am saying that there are far better players than these two. The one tamil nadu player who needs to be considered is M Karthik
No one talks about how horrible the Piyush Chawla selection was.. but u guys cry foul when an in form Murali Vijay is selected. When players from the north get so many opportunities to play and succeed, a South Indian is often denied even a chance to play a match and is doomed for life if he fails.
I hope soon there will be 2 teams to represent India - a team from the north and one from the south
We were probably not meant to be one nation.
Isnt it strange that TN has won the limited overs domestic tournament twice in a row yet there is no one playing for India from TN. This is the worst form of bias

Dont crib about bias against the south.. You guys fight between each other like crazy whereas we are united in the North.
Karnataka guy hates TN TN hates AP AP hates Karnataka
Dont talk about bias then ..
The most comments against Vijay was from South Indians from other states.. so dont complain about north

Remove piyush chawla and bring jadeja(economical bowler and batsman too)...Otherwise gud team
Since Sehwag is injured, it would be a real boost for the team if Robin Uthappa comes in his place. what are the selectors doing? he is in terrific form

yes. robin is only 40-50 player however, v need only 40-50 runs in t20, so robin was needed atleast for t20.

guys you have to realize that uthappa is suitable for middle order slot, Vijay considered in opening slot. don't blame the selections. its Sehwag's fault once again stabbed Indian selectors on back, i would rather suggest remove yusuf pathan
