What's wrong in that. They invested money to gain. Same you and me will do. isn't?
warne is wrong! because u cannot imagine gilly leading some other team and somebody else some other team! all the teams have been builtup nicely. they have got this combination after 3 years hardwork..

What yaar? Understand what Warne says. The contract is for 3 years with players. He only says that for transperancy redo the contract with new selection process. As otherwise one more controversy will rake up saying that some of the players are favoured by IPL and that will be never ending story.
any1 who writes on this forum thinks that he has become a big script writer and the world is listening to it.....i dont believe most ppl use twitter for noble cause but for cheap publicity

Baniyan Beta, how can everyone be like you? You are once in a lifetime human and so you are separate from us ordinary humans.
If they does not retain key players, the fan base for each franchisee would erode. and revenue as well. Hence it would be better if they retain key players for another year.
other wise basic nature of teams will change. the public have only now begun to identify their teams, key players, fan bases etc. no retention would mean the entire team might be different.min. of 8 players should be retained 3 foreign and 5 indians, and the captain, coach should have a say..i.e if the captain is definitely going to be retained.for e.g. saurav might be retained as team..but as a captain..not sure if he might be retained..unless srk wants another dust bite..:)

almost all good players in the world are playing in IPL. And if all franchisees wanna keep them, why the hell IPL invited two more bids???

YES, vivek , u r 100% right, only pakis are left, to whom u cant make captain, very few indians can become captain, plus there is no good player left, then from where this 2 new team will buy the player, if all 8 teams wants to retain the same team.
Infact IPL should take the service of Shane Warne and other Cricket legends like Kapil Dev,Bishen Singh Bedi, and others on governing council or decesion making in order to avoid controvercy, and allow pakistani , bangali, zimbabwe player also in order to make global presentation. and this time no controversy should be there in picking the players irrespective of country, IPL has already faced too much controvercy, further it should not face.

what about players from dubai, US, Ireland, Netherlands, Kenya, Canada, Hong Kong? These too are ICC playing members, they too should get a look in. IPL will then be global & FOOLISH.

if you reallly want to increase the cricket then my advise is let the above mentioned team to come and join as a saperate team in our domestic as well as all other country domestic match, so that they can learn the game, otherwise who will teach them , suppose china wants to play a cricket how they will learn the cricket, its better to let thier club team to come to india and join the domestic team in 1 or 2 in number same like IPL , so that in coming years atleast they will learn some cricket and expand. it look philosphy but nothing wrong in start something new, Lalit has started something new , see how even enemy praising him.
