Modi's dream ?
by amitabh on Apr 25, 2010 08:39 PM

There are stories circulating that IPL was Modi's dream this has been more so preached by Modi himself and his glamour surrounding like priety zinta, shilpa shetty and shahrukh khan and Mallya.

IPL was a copy of ICL and ICL copied the pattern from western football leagues and the english county cricket.

Modi's baby / dream etc was making allegedly fraud money for himself.

by shehbaaz on Apr 25, 2010 07:15 PM

Modi is not a cricket lover nor any creative person..he just want to mint money..his past is tainted.he was into drugs to kidnappings and he used every trick to get money and more money..he used the sentiments of indians about cricket to mint money..he should be thrown out of the cricketing arena for bringing such a bad name to cricket..first he revealed the franchisee secrete which he was not supposed to do and then everything started..he brought liquor, women, betting into cricket and ruined the Indian ethics..where are the so called protectors of hindu ethics..why they are silent bcz they can enjoy the money and women??

You are right, not only for ICL but kapil did not got proper treatment and regard from BCCI which he always deserve. The guy who won world cup for us, his services and experience was never sought by even BCCI ever.

Ban IPL
by Sowri Rajan on Apr 25, 2010 06:48 PM  | Hide replies

It is better to ban the IPL pending investigation of financial irregularaties. I doubt very much if anything will come out if IPL continues to operate.

Congress and opposition parties, by all means, will arrive at compromise i.e. you scratch my back and I scratch your back. Let us share the booty and we will all not talk about anything in the media.

Media will join the band and hail Modi as the conceptualiser of IPL and a man of words and deeds.

We, Indian Public, will have no voice on issues of this magnitude. We have, by birth, short memory and we will soon forget about IPL Gate and India Gate. Pawar and Modi like politicians will continue to amass wealth.

In between, we will hear news like Punjab Government storing liquor in food grain godowns Food grains rot outside. Again, we have nothing to do with news of this sort.

The future is not bleak for India. Our GDP is growing so also Pawar and Modi's bank accounts.

There will be discussions in the NDTV, Times, Express, Hindu, inviting all criminals for the debate. Criminals will point finger on each other and at the end, a committee will be appointed to look into IPL mess. Committee will take at least 6-7 months to submit its findings, by which time, we, Indians, because of short memory, would have forgotten everything about Modi and IPL and Sharad Pawar.

We will proceed with our lives as if nothing happened. Jai HInd

Banning IPL cricket is not the answer, cricket viewers have aceepted it and enjoyed it, we can not compare game of cricket played now a days with cricket played 20-30 years back. Problem is not with viewers or players, its with behind the scene players Moreover if IPL is banned it will be shame for whole country.

Spare the game.
by Anupam Rrastogi on Apr 25, 2010 06:26 PM  | Hide replies

Its irony that Indain Parliament is discussing about IPL when there are more important issues to be tabled. Opposition also is inteeresting in putting Government in tight spot rather than any positive responsible and constructive politics. Over, the last few days newspapers are giving full scale coverage about IPL.The ubiquitous Modi all around. The Government is there to frame laws and not to do business and the way Government representatives are involved in IPL, reflects something sinister and ulterior motive. We appeal to Governemnt to spare the game from Political cluthches and let the administration be handled by former cricketers and sportsman of refute. The IPL should be banned if the game has to be saved. It has made a tamasha and the game has lost in between. The governemnt should frame laws and uphold it constitutionally, rather than be party to the law. The country has more serios thing to be tabled and discussed. The IPL obsession of the nation may stall the growth the country can witness in the years to come.
