Tehelka- What a turn around
by rajiv gupta on Apr 23, 2010 11:56 AM

What a turn around. Tehelka, which became famous for bringing misdeeds of high & mighty, is now coming to rescue of these very people. And what beautiful arguments:
1. If he was not corrupt earlier.... .As if a person becomes corrupt only in his childhood. Madam one becomes corrupt only when he gets power. And Tharoor has become minister recently. Quick march to corruption.
2. The sweat equity is nothing. Then why Kochi franchisee claimed, this is compensation for future services to be provided. If it is nothing then will you be providing future services for free.
Madam, public perception of you is 100% correct.

Female umpires Vs Bhajji/Symonds
by vellaiKarupan Whiteblakie on Apr 23, 2010 11:08 AM  | Hide replies

There is an article in times of India chennai edition today... it lobbys for Female umpires in IPL matches! It also says that females will can boss over the players sending crooked one out if they misbehave and add to that it says that players like Harbajan, Symonds will behave if there is a female umpire involved. I dont think these guys will be kept quiet because of a female umpire. If you have watched the match yesterday, Harbajan grab Nitu's a$$ and lift her! I think if a female umpire gives a decision in favour of him what is the gaurentee that he will not do the same thing to the umpire! Grab her a$$ and lift her up? Symoonds I dont know much about him when it comes to female but there is a likeleehood that he may lift the female umpire and go directly to the team hotel if he wins the match. Gilli may probably flirt with her on field with the help of Rohit Sharma. I dont who all have to be watched if they deploy female umpires in an IPL match: Yuvaraj, Dhoni, Bret lee, Sreeshanth, RP Singh, David warner gilli and the list goes on

The irony of being a woman
by lakshmanan sowmianarayanan on Apr 23, 2010 10:55 AM

In India all speak of womens liberation their development etc.Only recently we saw the spectacle of leading women in politics standing together on passing the womens bill.it is stange that these women are in forefront making accusations against a fellow women of all wrong doings. It is evident from the interviwer in channels who shout from the bottom of their stomack to the politician lady that all are not able to digest that other woman is capable.

Sure you can make your own money!! That too just by living up to your name Sun-Anda Push-Kar!

Sun anda, push karegi to sweat niklegi, sweat niklegi to equity milega!! isn't this really really simple!?

That's the philosophy a lot of incompitent people live by, and have to use these special 'talents' and 'skills'. Just that they are no so aptly and appropriately named...

Global Branding that went Awry.
by srinivasan krishnamurthy on Apr 23, 2010 10:26 AM

The real damage is beyond all these people who are in the center of the controversy. Just imagine the success of this format sans the controversy. We ceased to present anything innovative. This Govt should make sure that sports never get the touch of politics (which may sound impossible). Look at other developed countries around us and learn how the sports are taken seriously and develop.

Day by day more skeletons are falling from the cupboard. What the hell the authorities were doing around in the name of autonomy (aka.. no accountability to the society).

Please do remember you have to answer to the society if you have done anything wrong.

IPL Revelations
by Bhaskar Shrinivasan on Apr 23, 2010 07:47 AM  | Hide replies

While a lot of information is being garnered and put into "public domain" by the various news and TV channels and such an exercise is valuable in its own right establishing linkages and drawing inferences that appear laboured and contrived or interpret the information out of context could end up making the whole exercise of "cleaning up" the mess counter productive and cause immense collateral damage. What is needed at this stage is "objective" reporting of facts leaving the probe to take its natural course and proceed to its logical end. If such restraint is not followed in reporting it will greatly harm the game of cricket. BHASKAR

Hey Bhaskar,

Media's selective reporting is equally responsible, glorifying ruling party and less attention to their mis-deeds.

Sunanda's reaction to the Indian media is perfectly correct. It is nothing but what she says.
