The word Atlantis is always hell, spells doom for the owners. BCCI many years back as a bank became a nightmare and after all these years many became poor and many rich. This BCCI as a cricket org has also seen the greedy, cunning, scamming side of human mind delivered for the hands to hit, the pads to protect and the helmet to stave off any blows to the face. but ironically the hands are dirty, the padding has been exposed and the helmet is no more secure to hold the head high.
Simply put - create a scam/ find a scape goat/ get the money and the people with gun and clout to invest/ after making the money- blow a whistle/ the scape goat is sacrificed/ the foxes run away with the money...check the many stories....Harshad mehta/quatrochi/ telgi/ shashikala(for jayalalitha)/ amar singh for mulayam/ add to this list if you know more/ and now Lalit Modi. You may be wondering if Congis made money...well the price they ask from pawar to stop any raids /exposure/....i like the threat modi has issued ...he will expose...either he will keep the money or will give a little to ensure he is safe...Tweeting sometimes ruffles many a feathers....Tweet baba tweet, pyaar me bi tweet, takraar mey bi tweet, yahi to hai politics, tweet baba tweet!!!
Lalit Modi seems to have criminal past involving some 2-year sentence abroad. His personal jet shows he is taking huge kickbacks. Wrong to glorify Modi for making IPL band a huge success, and for making great contributions to cricket. Middle class and gullible Indians buy expensive tickets to watch IPL matches played between teams comprising of foreign/Indian cricketers bought for crores of rupees. Because of our weakness for cricket, every single IPL cricket match earns a huge profit. Mallya, Jay Mehta, and all other team owners/franchisees earm huge profits and the whole IPL is seens as an unprecedented, grand business project for all these people who make huge profits. It has done no good to Indian cricket. Besides, Modi spread unparalleled corruption, took kickbacks, corrupted our politicians and Ministers, corrupted our culture by IPL sleaze parties. All this at the cost of those of us who paid for watching the matches. Modi must be totally neutralized and thrown out of IPL. The IPL itself needs to be abolished forthwith.BCCI and cricket seems to have lured India`s agril.minister to such an extent that he is seens to be deeply involved in all these things, and does not care for the starving millions of India. UPA is responsible for not sacking such ministers also, including Praful Patel, who authorized his daughter Poorna to rule Air India like their personal property. FIRs lunder appropriate sections of IPC need to be lodged against them.
No one is saint in BCCI..& its really ridiculous one thief naming another... We cannot shy away from the fact that IPL a copy of ICL was developed by Modi into a mega event. Even BCCI is a private property,so when a sports governing council is a private body,it is only a matter of time that a private body becomes an Individual's property.I will say Modi is the Dawood of IPL... Now,so long as IPL promotes sports, creates employment and generates revenue, its ok..but when it becomes a gateway for mafia involvement then we have to find ways to bring some control. However,if swiss bank money is coming back to India via IPL..then its a great news..the money will be floating in the Indian market only...there is no harm in it..first checkpoint was to control corruption, money is in swiss bank,so there is nothing harm for a small portion of it coming back to India... About Modi,we cannot shy away from the fact that he is a great enterpreneur and a team leader..and sacking him and throwing him out is not a good thing..just bring some control to curb his powers.. I suggest that in place of removing him,BCCI form a committee to review the entire episode and buy time for things to settle..IPL will be over today.. If Modi is sacked,it will be thankless on part of BCCI & if it happens I suggest Mr.Modi to join hand with Kapil Dev to revive ICL or start a new league such as INL(Indian National League),any way you are a born enterpreneur & you have th

Why scams take place under congress regime? Because people who perform they also do mistakes. Other lazy beggar parties like maywathis and karunanidhis only loot public money and act against national interest. Only congress and BJP have godd politicians. And without NEHRU,INDIRA,RAJIv,PVN,MMS india would not have progressed at all to this extent...
I think the entire board should resign. The buck stops at their feet, why people are blaming Modi only. They are the one who allowed it to happen, now all of sudden would like to take charge. Where were they? When hard work was needed to start IPL. Why they even bothered to start IPL? Because ZEE TV started ICL? In India, whenever a government or a semi-government body is in command, there is always corruption, they go hand in hand? They should have let players join ICL and public would have enjoyed as pure entertainment and the government would have got more revenue, etc. Indian public is taken for a ride by politicians and politician like Tharoor are sacrificed.
The ICC is equally responsible for the fiasco generated in IPL. Basically, the IPL concept was Kapil Dev’s brainchild. While Kapil drafted the plan as a cricket enthusiast Lalit Modi had secret designs behind cricket. It is unfortunate that ICC did not recognized ICL. It is understood that players going to play in South Africa during the apartheid days were banned. Member teams in ICC were equivocal about stopping racism. But ICC’s decision to blacklist ICL made BCCI the cricketing monarch of not only India but the entire cricketing world. ICC muscled by BCCI, simply lost its system of checks and balances by not granting permission to other cricketing bodies within India unraveling hidden cricketing talents. BCCI is a private consortium. The question remains why a private consortium like BCCI is allowed to select players who represent India. BCCI can at best look for club level cricket. ICC should definitely allow the mushrooming of other private consortium not only within India but also other cricket playing nations. BCCI has no right to select players to play for India. A national committee needs to be formed with ex cricketers who would then rummage cricketers playing locally under different cricketing consortium. I think this is the norm in any nation. This would rule out nepotism within BCCI.
