this is called the bania-monia kickback web. Even the MNCs have figured this out. Bunia-monia cried Nationalism/Swadeshi for making deals, but did nothing more than back deal with MNCs (like bajaj-allianz, Mittral-airtel-erricson) OR videshi suppliers be it "Communist China" or "Capitalist whoever".
Some monia like Laxmi Mittal operate from videsh and have all their money reside in videsh..
but small money NRIs pay penalty... these are the ones whoom india should protect from being treated like second class citizens in Indian and abroad.
what happened is...Pranab has lost the focus from Modi
How? Because Modi has some key blackmail, kicback and bribe cards in his hands, he has making Pranab and MMS run around.
People like Laxmi Mittal are laughing, they are leeching scarce MINERAL RESOURCES of India from/for the videshi power. Earned profits go to videsh due to wrong fiscal policies. When the earned money and resources should stay within our desh. Let not Mittals or Modis be henchmen/front-face for videshi cause. Be it Cell phone tower equipment or mine or cricket business.
Why cannot we in India have provisions for NRIs and NRI banks (non-taxed like Swiss/St. Kitts) to operate from India so indian money stays in India instead of going to videsh as long they follow laws. And we lessen the leech that way by incentives.
- pranab is playing few of Tharoor blackmail cards, but Modi says he has many b
This is strange, very strange if IPL is not being taxed. It is no charitable trust. They make money by making girls dance half nude and do not pay taxes?

This can only happen in India!! Just because Lalit tweeted about Tharoor, he and the owners are being investigated and trying to bring the IPL down. How in the world can a private entity like IPL be dragged down by Govt ..? Owners have invested thousands of crores, it is providing employment to so many players and non-playing staff and contributing to the economy. So, one day if reliance releases the payments it makes to politicians than it will be brought down to its knees too..? It is scary to do business in India, people has to deal with illegal Mafia & legal mafia like politicians, bureaucrats, policemen and local goons.
It is not a joke to plan, organize and conduct major tournament without a visionary and capable administrators like Lalit Modi. We are seeing how much Govt is struggling to conduct one international sports event in India and now they want to kill this and replace the commissioner with some political enuch!

Hell with all politicians! Iam totally against any politicians involving in it. In just 3 seasons IPL has become so big, think about all it can do to the other cities, local talent and the employement it can create in another 5 years..?

The success of IPL does not entitle Lalit Modi to flout the tax as well as foreign investment laws, as he has been alleged to have done. The probe of the Govt. is only in that regard and hence, one should not be blinded only by the success of IPL.
