POOR INDIANS
by vijaya kumar on Apr 22, 2010 05:10 PM

Shashi Tharoor has gone. Congress able to take revenge or not. Cricket’s great, jamboree may be cleaned up or not. Does it matter so much ? As tharoor self-destructed, modi haunted by corruput congressi govt. the circus around them diverted all attention from the storm gathering over India.. As the IPL grabbed eyeballs, India gained 100 million poor people, the Maoists grew stronger and people is suffering due high prices of all the items. This figure of 100 million will be added to the last figure of 300 million people( who live below the official poverty line) estimated by the government and planning commission, make the new figure to 400 million poor in this country. This new figure of 400 million poor may sound like a lot in a country of 1.1 billion, but every expert will tell you this is a gross underestimation. If you were to raise the povery line to Rs.90 per day, inadequate for a coffee at a five star hotel – the number of poor in India would cross 800 million. Hunger and Maoist violence are not unique to – but are largely centred on – Indian tribal lands, once home to the nation’s denset forests, systematically exploited by local governments, officals and private interests.
Neither the govt. nor the so called secular or sickular political parties or the so called social organizations have any interest in the upliftment of the poor and hungry Indians. They want only money and power and

All are corrupted guys and one who is Politically strong will win this battle... Look like it is Mr Sharad Pawar! Modi should quit as he can't win against these guys. Shilpa shetty support is not enough Modi.. you should also have hugged some guys during the IPL matches :-)

It is a corrupt cotorie
by Shashidhar Nanjundiah on Apr 22, 2010 03:58 PM  | Hide replies

BCCI is a corrupt cotorie of selfish officials, political power brokers and greedy vested interests. IPL is a tool which has been used by BCCI to exploit and loot. But now the BCCI pretends as if they are innocent angels and shift all the blame on Modi.

Modi is not alone in this scam. All the above mentioned parties, led by the BIG DADDY OF CORRUPTION, are responsible for the sordid mess. They have fully exploited the system. The Govt knows the culprits but lacks the balls to take action. They simply cannot piss into their own soup. They just want to implicate Modi and divert the issue. Eventually the truth will be buried and the game goes on.

Modi is being made a scapegoat
by vijaya kumar on Apr 22, 2010 03:46 PM

Modi is being made as scapegoat. BCCI is nothing but a treasure for politicians from all parties to share the booty and amass wealth at the cost of the nation. Now Modi is being an outsider meaning not a politican every political party joined together and crucify him as if he is alone responsible.
Modi as a single man can never do without active collusion of politicians. The present Govt talks of cleaning the system and it is a crude joke.
A report says more than 50% of mps belonging all political parties are having criminal back grounds. Even the allies or earlier allies of congress party’s right from Lalu, Mulayam and Mayawati are being charge-sheeted for corruption charges. Now the congress is acting as holier than cow.
Had Modi colluded with Sashi Tharoor this problem would not have come to such a pause. These political parties receive cash for election from Industrialists and this is going on for a long time. Modi today became a victim as he underestimated the wickedness of our politicians. But Modi has a chance to revenge by disclosing the entire facts without sparing any politicians in the murky deal. Modi should bring in the truth and the real colour of the politicians who looted and amassed wealth in BCCI and IPL.

by Samuel Mathew on Apr 22, 2010 03:39 PM

I would be happy if cricket is removed from the clutches of BCCI and Nationalised and spoilt like Soccer, Hockey and other team sports.
