Why the can was leaked
by Manoj Dev on Apr 22, 2010 02:05 PM  | Hide replies

Apparently, names of many more big people would tumble out from Modi's move. BCCI's stance is also against disclosure of franchisee ownership. Many embarassments like the show-biz lady - she is only 11% stake holder in a franchisee, not owner as media publicized.
Would like to understand - when everything could have gone on in favor of everyone nicely, why the can of worms was leaked. Can any kind-heart please enlighten?

They did not want a small worm like Shashi Tharoor to take away an apple called Kochi, when the whole garden of ripe apples in India and abroad was with them!

Well nobody is going to know what Tharoor has done and all other politicians have done with regards to IPL. The only people who will know the fact is the top govt officials and think tank of ruling govt and they are going to use it as political leverage. And to show that action is taken, Modi will be made a scapegoat so that all the big politician can breathe easy. Hey in India only the poor and powerless are punished for their wrong doings... So calm down... have a chill pill...

As if corruption could exist in BCCI alone! If everybody has to watch everything live to root out corruption, then how to exist? Honestly have you not bribed anybody in your life?

Gyanendra Chaturvedi
Re: SOME POINTS in concideration
by Gyanendra Chaturvedi on Apr 22, 2010 02:06 PM
His fault is that he succeeded and India does not like success stories so newspapers like ToI have started digging his personal life. It is Lalit Modi who has brought some status to those player who were constantly standing at the door of cricket Czars. So BCCI's third rate officials with the backing of criminal politicians want to father a success story which is already born. I think congress has taken it too personally and has let loose all the fury on Lalit for calling a spade a spade. Imagine 75 Cr sweet stake for a song and that is what Lalit Modi was not supposed to reveal. Just because Tharoor is a congressman so he should not have been shown in the wrong light. My suggestion is that now Lalit should join ICL or repeat the same success story elsewhere in some other country. Otherwise he would be finished by high moral politicians like Laloo and Mulayam!!

It is hard to believe that the whole governing council of IPL did not know what was happening.

If they did not know, its better they all go. Because they were not doing there job which was assigned to them. They must all resign for not working.

BCCI should also be dissolved, since they were not doing there job.

It appears from there defence, that they mearly watched Modi take all the decision and just endorsed without questioning.

Its hard to believe with the money involved. But either way they should all go.

Petal:

By the same token the entire UPA government should go on the issue of Price Rise? :)

Surely ALL of them know and / or not doing their jobs... :)

Incidentally one of them is a key stakeholder in the Indian Cricket and another is a Vice President of BCCI... ;-)

lalit modi is being hounded because he stood up to powerful people.first, he took on chidambarasm and then ripped apart the mosr carefully cultivated image of tharoor.he is being focussed upon to divert the attention from the murky dealings of the papas of corruption-pawar,praful,rajeev shukla.
