Re: Kapil should be roped in

I would love to see it happen. But with Sunny having so much pull with BCCI, I don't see it happening.
We have been hypin this whole issue and it is diverting attention from the really important matters. This is just a simple matter of why Lalit Modi violated the confidentiality clause to tweet the holding details of the Kochi bidder while guarding the secret for all other franchises since the last 3 years. What is his vested interest?
I somehow don't understand that why people think Lalit Modi introduced this format It was the brain child of Kapil Dev and Subhash Chandra of Zee TV. If you look at their format , Modi has just copied it and with the help of Sharad Pawar and other political heavy weights , IPL is what you see now it is and ICL is eating dust. Had they given so much of importance to ICL then we would be watching ICL instead of IPL. Its all paisa fekh tamsaha dekh and you can very see who has power and contacts they always rule.
ICL was the first 20-20 league introduced in India! So it is arbitrable that whose idea was to introduce 20-20 in india? I think the ICL of Kapildev was just cleverly hijacked and suffocated to nonexistance by the brain(s?) behind IPL - similar to the wicked gimmicks that has resulted in the present controversies.
IPL enjoyed the trust, faith, Passion and heart of Indians. It is not good to hear about the cheap stories behind the present scandal. Better to nationalise BCCI or IPL than to cheat indians. We want cricket first and glamour next and not scams.
