Its just pure money
by gaurang patel on Apr 27, 2010 02:29 PM  | Hide replies

So much hype so much attention by all people given only because of money involved in ipl. Why such things didn't happen to our national play Hockey? In opposite players of Hockey have to go to strike for their dues from the Hockey Federation. I think govt. should levy huge taxes on IPL,cricket & with that tax should help development of other games like Hockey,Boxing,Shooting etc. Similarly congress & bjp should ask their men clearly either to remain in bcci, ipl or into their party only. No dual posts should be allowed.

I don't this the gov has the skills to turn Hockey into IPL. However, they will soon turn IPL into hockey. BCCI has already started on their plans and soon cricketers will be begging right next to hockey players.

IPL and Modi
by amitabh on Apr 25, 2010 10:06 PM

There are stories circulating that IPL was Modi's dream this has been more so preached by Modi himself and his glamour surrounding like priety zinta, shilpa shetty and shahrukh khan and Mallya.

IPL was a copy of ICL and ICL copied the pattern from western football leagues and the english county cricket.

Modi's baby / dream etc was making allegedly fraud money for himself.

corporate governance.

they are all hand in hand in this mega scam, exploiting the people and earning money from the sweat and hardships of the players.

what were people like gavaskar and shastriji and patuadi doing. do they also stakes in the teams or some commission to keep their mouths shut.

This IPL, modi and bcci goons have tainted National cricket, they have brought bad name and bad influence to the name of the nation.

We want clear cricket, we demand transparency and accountabiliy.

wake mr. Gavaskar, u r no saint anymore.

ONE PERSON
by madanmohan siddhanthi on Apr 21, 2010 02:32 PM  | Hide replies

Mr.Muthaih can you please name one person in the BCCI or even in the state Level administrators who have real interest in the game .That gene is gone .Every body is there for his personal interest read as Money .With so many Politicians in various levels - do you ever dream it will be for the game - you are sadly mistaken . A claassical case education - every tom ,dick and harry of politicians has a charitablle institute through which he establishes colleges and the seat is based on Money since Government institutes are filled with reservatione(undeserving ) even good students will be forced to join these colleges and will get good results - it is just a rot.
What can a common middle class man do ? except educate his children at any cost . So we have problems of naxalite s, Moaists etc this is not the end a beggining - if the whole system is not revamped we are going to be in trouble.

Why can't former cricketers be in the BCCI Board. Those who, at a minimum has played Duleep Trophy and above only can contest for the Board. This way all the business people and politicians and their nexus can be broken. I hope The Government of India do this for the survival of this Sport.

Well. Gavaskar,Shastri, M.A.K.Pataudi all are former Indian Cricketers who are part of the same BCCI. It is not enough to just have cricketers in the board, but to have those people who have guts to take right decisions and stand by it.

Players r no longer interested to play for the country. They just wanna make easy bucks by playing In IPL.

BCCI should be banned not IPL
by hinduhitler on Apr 21, 2010 01:38 PM

IPl should be run by a CEO appointed by GOI.
What is BCCI, its not even a govt body. who gave them right to field players on behalf of the country.
They are making so much money which they dont even have to give us accounts for. how can it be possible that such a big fraud has survived so long. Obviously politicians are involved in keeping it alive and not taking action for money. why has SHard pawar got involved in cricket, does he even know its played with season ball and not a rubber ball. This pwar character is always involved in big money business.
Its shocking how with politics connection you can actually manipulate everything! BAN BCCI now, they were directly involved in match fixing scandal, but they brought in This pwar character and got away.now there is a good opportunity to ban this zoller organisation, which u and me cant even enter, as they have reserved themselves exclusive rights to run.BAN BCCI NOW

Sleazy Game and Sleazy Investigation by FM
by durga on Apr 21, 2010 01:30 PM  | Hide replies

How IPL's financial wrongdoings passed the scrutiny of BCCI auditors for 3 years in a row. Surely there is more to it than what meets the eyes. How can an individual hide a ‘scandal’ of such magnitude?
why was the so called honest government in deep slumber for more than 3 years? Secondly, why is the probe restricted to just the sources and routes of the funding, why not on the ‘involvement of politicians’ in the IPL

IPL that has no link with sports. It is the IPL night parties (or after-parties), where players and public (ones ready to splurge money), jig to the DJ’s tune till wee hours

IPL is something we should be proud of
by Kempt Killer on Apr 21, 2010 01:15 PM  | Hide replies

IPL is something which all Indians should be proud of.

We should call every players from other countries and let them play here for our local teams. We should be enjoying these matches and we should not worry about that cheap world cup played by 8-10 teams.

Its like in olden days the king use to organize fights between two strong men. So India is King and we are organizing fights to entertain ourself.
