Narendra Modi - NO Lalit Modi - Yes
don't even compare the 2 Modi's. While Narendra Modi fits in with what all you have said (dedicated, intelligent and focussed etc.,), Lalit Modi is a crook, cheat and big-time gambling megalomaniac, whose mission in life is to benefit his kith, kin and cronies like the bellowing Ravi Shastri

suppandi has agreed that he is the culprit who regularly eases on the chennai roads making the city dirty.
I always thought a guy like Modi would go out like AlPachino in ScarFace I mean after snorting a bag of cocaine and a shot gun.....telling everyone to "say hello to my little friend" Come on Modi go out like a roaring lion and do everyone a favor take a couple of the bcci and congress crooks along, will ya....
Modi has made great money out of IPL. He has bought a private jet, a yatch and has great property in various parts of the country. All this he accquired in the last 3 years. Great Modi well done. Book case of "ulta Chor Kotwal ko Daathe"

yes, sometimes envy can uplift you in someway. but majority of the pandis will continue tarring roads for their entire lifetime.
Modi worked hard to build IPL. When initialy he mooted the concept and volume of business majority of the people were sceptical. Probably he had to talk to some known people for support and convince them about the potential. Now he has made it into a big success and naturally people who trusted him and took the risk would get the benefit. Now blaming him for helping known people is unjustified and it is like punishing him for success!

He has not done anything special like to lift a dying sport here. If Modi had so much talent why did he not uplift other sports like Football, Hockey etc.

If Cricket had been such a sure winner why did not people use the potential earlier? Man he has fully unfolded the potential of Cricket and that is were he gets the credit!

Cricket is a crazy sport in India and everyone is aware of it. If the same format like IPL had been in England it would not have got popular among the locals (except the Indians).

well...modi is not uplifting any sport for the betterment of the sport itself. He has a pure business point of view and that's why he chose cricket in India.

you have just echoed what LM had been saying in his defence. Listen to what some of the analysts (outside of the IPL) had to say in a discussion on HT last night.
"if people were skeptical about IPL in the beginning, how come the bids were from $67 million upwards (upto $111 million), against the minimum price of $50 million ? everyone could have bid at 51, 52 etc.,"
IS AFRAID OF THE CLOUT OF MODI..THEY R USING THIS CHANCE TO CUT HIM TO SIZE...LEKIN MODI ITNA AZAANI SE CHODNEWALA NAHI...HE MAY EVN TIE UP WIT SUBHAS CHANDRA OF ZEE TV...WAIT N SEE
