BCCI is a private company who has an audited balance sheet. IPL is a department of BCCI and same auditors must be signing its papers. Lalit Modi is a businessman and has right to induct relatives if Direcrtors of BCCI allow it - just like Birla and Ambani. Betting on horse races is legal so cricket is only a matter of time.
The biggest grudge the BCCI officebearers have against Modi is that it's because of him that the I-T department got an opportunity to examine(the word raid has not been used) their documents which has never happened before. This fact is hurting them a lot as BCCI has always taken pride and fiercely guarded its autonomy status.The call in the Parliament by some MPs to bring it under the Sports Ministry is something which is never going to be acceptable by the BCCI. BCCI is a rare sports body in the country which is not under the Sports Ministry and doesn't take orders from the Sports Minister.

Because Modi has opened up a pandora's box with the hundreds of crores that is criss crossing hands due to the IPL. There is now going to be an investigation and the babus in Delhi will have a piece of the cake too. Modi is competent, but his mistake was going too fast with too few friends.As an example, what was the need to advertise that IPL was now a $4 billion brand.
.. so the C Company ( Caangreis) finds one tiny little scape goat in Lalit Modi to take revenge on. Idiots - for gods sake he is not a khadi walla but a businessman and BCCI is a company!!
And who launches the attack ? The same IT dept whose folk who never never take bribes .

The South Indians are somtimes alienated from the Central Govt policies.Like Sachar committee report which talks about Muslims as north Indians and Tamil Muslims.And prefers reservation for the first.
