I know one thing last 50 years if someone doing best for this Country . He has to face these kind of problem. Last 50 years this Indian government doing same. System and politician are corrupted. We as a people of India face new problem every day. This government doing nothing for poor and help less people. Modi also has to face because he has been doing well for IPL.
And As a people of India we know government doing nothing for investigate just eye wash, every time politician get clean cheat due to their power . And Mr. Tharoor also part of the government. I know 1000% sure no result will come. It will also dump like other case and people also forget after few month. This is India

The Indian judicial system is very strong... for the weak. And it becomes very weak for the strong ones. The media does its part. They cant do more than that. But the judiciary and the people who can take action fail. Media cant take action. they just report incidents. See the case of Nithari killings. The beast who butchered hundreds of innocent children is getting away and some small fry is punished. This is our judicial system. Shame

Remember Telgigate!
by VASUDEVAN V on Apr 20, 2010 04:26 PM  | Hide replies

Anyone remember Telgigate? Telgi siphoned off crores of rupees through duplicate stamp papers. Powerful politicians were fed by him. He even named a few of them. Such scams can never take place without the support of the politicians and police. What happened? Nothing. Telgi is cooling his heels in the clinker, the politicians continue to be powerful ministers and the policemen continue to milk the next rogue! Ours is a democracy of the crooks, by the crooks and for the crooks. The only victims are the common people!

Killing a whistle blower once again..
by jaggu on Apr 20, 2010 04:21 PM  | Hide replies

So the C Company finds one tiny little scape goat in upright Lalit Modi to take revenge on -because he is the whistle blower for exposing Tharoor.

For gods sake - he is not a khadi walla but a brilliant salesman and BCCI is a company!!

And who launches the attack ? The same IT dept whose folk will never-never take bribes. Why only now ? Why not before? Why not raid any other business/ poliuticians like Mayawati , Mulayam and Diggy Singh? Why dilute the fodder scam?

BCCI is a private company who has an audited balance sheet - and IPL is only a department of BCCI and auditors covered it - like all other companies of the world.

Lalit Modi and has right to induct relatives if Directors of BCCI allow it - just like Birla and Ambani.

Betting on horse races is legal so cricket is only a matter of time.

Finally it reminds me of the IITian Satyendra Dubey who was killed for exposing mafia.

Upright Modi - if you mean Narendra Modi, you are right ! if it is Lalit Modi - What a big joke !!

1. did he blow the whistle on all the misdeeds of other franchises ?

2. he may be a brilliant salesman, but a corrupt, unscrupulous and arrogant one. No company can afford to have him on its rolls

3. BCCi is labelled as a trust (not a company) and hence dos not pay taxes on some of its earnings. Moreover, the books and actions of any company are subject to investigation by the government, notwithstanding the audits; given the quality and mentality of the auditors that these companies engage, an investigation is due anyway !! remember Satyam ??

4. Lalit Modi has no right to induct his relatives without obtaining permission from the office bearers and members of BCCI. and his actions were without such permissions !

5. no one has explained, so far, on why the media rights were given to his relatives for a pittance and why IMG was forced to negotiate the fee down in the second year. who gave them the contract ?

6. when betting in cricket becomes legal in India, we will accept what you have said, but till then it is an illegal activity. end of the argument !

7. Finally, has Modi explained why he had requested for a denial of visa to the South African model Gabriella ? will he care to explain ?

cheers
