Match should have been called off...
by karthik on Apr 18, 2010 03:14 PM

The match should have been cancelled due to the blast, it is surprising that match wasn't called off.IPL should not have risked players life.ICC is watching and it might shift the WC out of India too.

Drop Kallis
by Uday Shetty on Apr 18, 2010 02:11 PM

RCB is almost certain to go to semis. Yesterdays loss should be a wake up call. There is a good chance they meet MI in semis. They need to get one more spinner to counter Pollard & Duminy. Drop Kallis & bring in Van der Merwe. PK should get a chance in place of Pankaj Singh.

roblem is the team combination.
by samyakgowda on Apr 18, 2010 10:56 AM

This Singh who lost us a game and almost lost another must be dropped and so should be Ross Taylor.

Bring in Boucher and Abhimanyu instead.

Chennai Super Kings
by Senthil on Apr 18, 2010 10:56 AM

Their situation is the most clear-cut: win, and go through to the semi-finals; lose, and pack your bags and go home.

Away from Home
by adrian lobo on Apr 18, 2010 10:32 AM

as mentioned in this article RCB might end up facing Mumbai Indians away from home.

FYI both the Semi finals are played in Bangalore..

How can rediff keep making these mistakes again and again when the fixtures are avaiable from so many months??? this is absolutely poor quality of reporting

ITS A DIFFERENT STORY THIS IPL WHERE THE LOCAL INDIAN PLAYERS OUTPERFORMING THE SO CALLED INTERNATIONAL STARS WHO POCKET MILLIONS FOR NO USE....HOPE THIS WOULD OPEN THE EYES OF FRANCHISE OWNERS WHO WILL BID FOR LOCAL PLAYERS IN AN OPEN AUCTION NEXT YEAR AND PLAYERS LIKE RAYUDU,SUMAN,ASHOK DINDA,BISLA,ASHWIN,S.TIWARY ETC SHOULD GET HIGHER COMPENSATION THAN ORDINARY HUSSEY,MCCULLUM,GAYLE,JAYASURIYA ETC

ORDINARY HUSSEY,MCCULLUM,GAYLE,JAYASURIYA ETC
get money for their iconic status and not for their scores.
It is like Salman Khan earning 3 crores for a 3 hour film while some great TV actor with as good acting or looks not even earning 3 crores for acting in 5 year long serial.

problem with RCB
by spring on Apr 18, 2010 08:33 AM  | Hide replies

When they are chasing run, they don't maintain RRR. For 20-20 you need to aggressive from start. One or two wicket fall won't make any differnce. Batman at end can play minium 12balls. RCB has to make use of all batman. There is no point in playing safe, anchor role and keeping wicket. Main thing they need to score and keep RRR.

while bating first, they should target over 200. Basically, batsman need to bat up thei potential and captain must use every batsman strength. RCB still struggling to sort out their batting order. Their win ratio is about 50-50. I doubt they will win. Most of their batsman are fit for one day. Why don't they try Virat Kohli as opener. big hitters should get more bowl to play not last few overs

Kallis Is Just Playing For Orange Cap! Uthappa And Manish Panday Must Open the Innings. The BAtting Order Should Be: Uthappa, Panday,Peterson,Kohli, Ross Taylor, Dravid/Kallis,White,Praveen Kumar, Steyn,Vinay Kumar, Kumble.

Yes you are right, Uthappa, Pandey and Peterson should come in pp overs. Kumble should send Kallis down the order.

When you play table toppers as red-hot Mumbai Indians are, all your flaws start to crop up in front of your eyes.
Just see MI's fielding and catching, leaving aside their batting and bowling.

Ok i arrived at the right time for you.
When i watch a movie, I know two things
1. The hero is going to win finally, so it is fixed.
2. We all know that Dawood has control our bollywood too.
So let us take a dose of cyanide now instead of enjoying
what say?

Another concern I have this so called IPL is it timings ..March-April is when most of the academic exams are scheduled ..its just help to add more distraction to the student community ..while frauds like Modi and Pawar laugh all the way to bank ..its the future of the country getting screwed..
