Prostitution, Spurious Liqour, Trafficking, Drugs trade, Land Grabbing - they are the dons of solapur - under the blessings of Sugar Pawar. Person of this background is making allegations against someone who cant be equated to none. IPL is murky lots of money laundering is going on. Sunandapussikar is nothing but front office receptionist of Dubai Don Dawood. Shashi tharoor is associated with such questionable character means our countrys secrets are out in open.

He withdrew because the SC was not ready to give an early date for his baseless plea.
The matters are still unfolding very much in public view and the IPL board meeting is not over yet.Maybe after that such a plea will have some credibility. Also there is no public money involved for the public to be worried about.
The team was selected through a bidding process overseen by Modi himself and there is no question of any minister's involvement in that. There by nullifying the accusal that Tharoor misused public office for personal gain.

Misuse of Public authority for pecuniary gains is involved.
Re: Re: Re: I guess he also received threat from tharoor gang !

The question is where did this misuse happen. Tharoor is part of MEA and is not involved with BCCI or Sports ministry.
If misuse of power did happen, then it should have happened during the bidding process but Lalit Modi has not mentioned anything about this.
So here the only question is about black money flowing in from abroad and this can be assessed by the RBI or finance ministry. They could check the bank A/C details and transactions.

It has happened in the form of FREE equity received by S.Pushkar for the interest shown by Tharoor to help get them a franchisee by using his ministerial influence. Tharoor himself has acknowledged his role in getting IPL to the city. So Sunanda has received the Free Gift for Tharoors effort. clearly a prima facie case for further investigation.

Sorry... but it is not free equity... it is sweat money... which means she will have to earn the money...
No even if it it involves free equity, whats the point as long as It is not Tharoor who is earning it.
Just because somebody is a minister's close friend, does it mean he/she cannot make money?
There is nothing wrong in what Tharoor has done till now. Of course what will unfold the very next moment is out of our realm of discussion.

How can a minister "INFLUENCE" the bidding process. He has only guided them through the formalities and has not pulled strings to get them to win the bid. Even Lalit Modi has said that the bidding process was clean and fair.
Also do you think Tharoor's power in Indian political scene is more than Sharad Pawar and Narendra Modi. They could have easily got the team for Ahmedabad or Kanpur.
Ms. Pushkar owns equity in RSW which is a stakeholder in Kochi IPL team. So she doesn't have any direct stake in Kochi team. Also it is not possible to sell this equity without permission from other stake holders and IPL. This sort of "sweat equity" transfer is very common in the corporate world.

# In response to Harish Menon
Sweat Equity is one earned not to be earned in future.
What has S Pushkar done in past to earn? The Investors have clearly mentioned that they do not have any idea about this lady prior to granting her this equity. They also clearly state that her name was 'propped' or 'suggested' by a 'friend'. These statements clearly indicate that a third person, not named has propped her name. Now who is this person and for what purpose.
S Pushkar's background no way suggest her to be a competent person to take such an onerous charge of PR of an IPL team, much less a new entity in a state like Kerala where she or the other investors have no business interest or background.
So who is this third person? What is this person's interest?
No body said its wrong for Tharoor to invest or make profit if he chooses to invest in an IPL team or for that matter any other profitable enterprise. What is tort is, 'politely enquiring or suggesting' that a specific name - of a person being bestowed a pitable stake worth 75 crores, without any background be kept under wraps and that personis clearly linked to the Minister. That needs clarity.
While on paper, there maybe no tort committed, the position of propriety has been grossly violated.
Mr Minister, for sense of fairplay, India deserves much cleaner role of yours, and frankly do I as a citizen.

Response to # Harry:
Mentor and guide:) Cmon, a rational Indian would clearly know what they stand for in the political euphemism, satire and spindoctor language.
The question is not whether or how Tharoor can or have more 'influence' than others, its about obvious chichanery in intent and act of the Minister.
First off the franchise is for the city of Kochi, not for Kerala as they have been drumming about. (Mumbai and Pune have diff franchisees).
Tharoor has nothing to do with KErala prior to him landing and winning in Trivandrum. His folks are from Palakkad, his mother is domicile in Coimbatore and he was born and bred in London. Apart from his mother tongue being Malayalam there is no connctection whatsoever to KErala.
Now to the Consortium. What is the Kochi/Kerala connection?
The lone Kerala component Venugopal holds a massive role of 1% stake :) and he is not from Kochi.
Rest of them are from Gujuarat and other parts of India. They do not even have much business interests in Kochi, much less in Kerala.
So what has Tharoor done to Kochi?
Furthermore, Kochi does not have a stadium which woudl be ready to host the IPL4, meaning he games would be played elsewhere. So whats the benefit that is brought to Kochi, apart from that great nametag?
To add, its a known fact, Kerala does not have a strong cricket team. So most of the players would be from elsewhere. So where woudl the backing come from?

@ Rekha Gopalan
Why Ms.Pushkar or for that matter anyone was given this sort of equity is for the consortium members to answer.
The only question was why is Tharoor brought in to this. Also why was Modi mum all this while, didn't he have the details of the consortium before the bidding process itself or he could even have revoked the bid earlier why wait 2 weeks.
Also Kerala is primarily a consumer state (huge business/advertisement opportunities) and is developing at a very fast rate which requires it to have more infrastructure developments. All the companies in the consortium either have or are planning to enter the market and the IPL team serves as a launchpad to give them the required exposure.
Tharoor is an MP from Trivandrum. But,sadly Trivandrum is never considered as an investment destination, so the next best option is Kochi (business hub of Kerla, also very accessible from every part of the state) and being an MP from Kerala, Tharoor played his role in convincing the IPL authorities to introduce Kochi into the pool for IPL-4. You cant question his motive saying that he has no links to Kerala, actually NRIs have more love for their motherland than any other person who resides here in India.
Unlike Maharashtra, Kerala is a small state and having more than one team is not viable.IPL might not do any good for the present Kerala cricketers but it will instill a love for the game for future gen. and moreover bring about a unity which at present is lacking in Kerala.
