IPL is the Swiss Bank of India
by Count Meout on Apr 16, 2010 07:57 AM  | Hide replies

Cricket and Entertainment is only incidental. It is a truly a 'Private Wealth Management outfit. If the 'veil' of secrecy is removed, behind it, one will see that IPL is an investment vehicle for RTOs, Customs Officials, Corrupt IAS officials, besides Politicians, Industrialists and Movie Stars to park their 'Ill Gotten' wealth. Since, returns promised are much higher than 'Real Estate', this is the new 'Investment Vehicle' where BJP, NCP, Dawood have big stakes. Hence, Shashi Tharoor with his 'Tweets' was not welcome, since Shashi might accidentally tweet some of the secrets. Hence, the 'political war'! People of India - dont worry, switch on your channel, otherwise you will miss the 'sixer' from Gauti! And if you are not watching, it is a 'Missed Eye-Balls!!

Politician Se Panga Karega to Aisa Hi Hoga
by Cool ChandraThakur on Apr 16, 2010 01:47 AM  | Hide replies

If you take on the politicians especially ruling party ministers, this is bound to happen.
RajasthanRoyals officials were arrested when politicians didnt get 'enough' tickets for last IPL match in Jaipur.
Amitabh was questioned when he was in hospital thanks to SonniyaJee & Rahullbaba's blessings.

This is just Take-I. Now Govt will start harassing everyone from IPL who doesnt fall in line.
Meanwhile Tharroor will postpone his wedding to Sunannda PushhKar.
Media will be directed to suppress any reports damaging to Tharroor, and highlight anti LaitModi reports
In 6 months when Modi & other BCCI officials have stopped protesting, AND public has forgotten Tharroors chindhigiri, he will marry Sunannda PushhKar & Kanngress move to his next scam.

Why forget the number 1 witch hunt in India's history? Tehelka was haunted out of existence by BJP. Their financiers were threatened of harassment unless they stop supporting Tehelka.

Compared to this, Congress has done nothing at all! Atleast they haven't hunted anyone out of spite.

And why can't Tharoor marry Sunanda?

QandA QandA
Why people should support Modi...
by QandA QandA on Apr 16, 2010 01:19 AM  | Hide replies

I'm with Modi all the way! Why should Tharoor step into cricket for bringing cricket into his state. Imagine the Gandhis wanting to create an Amethi franchisee! Keep the politicians out! Giving away 5% as sweat equity valued at many 10s of crores to somebody who is a professional nobody is just not done and to use that justification is clearly a cover-up, which any "professional" can see. There are excellent "genuine" professionals to do that job in India, for 1/10th that cost. Modi, has many a person in the BCCI, in the cricketing world, in the political world, in the media, plotting his downfall. He doesn't have a support base or a powerful godfather. People are envious of his creation the IPL. There was no other way he could have exposed the Kochi invisible stockholding and brought it into the public light for discussion. I don't care how he did it as long as he exposed them. I think the Kochi franchisee needs to be barred for unbecoming conduct anyway!

For last 60 yrs corrupt politicians have looted this country... REMEMBER BCCI USE TO KEEP ALL THE MOOLAH TO ITSLEF...THEIR YEARS REVENUE WAS MERE 30 MILLION DOLLARS..

LOOK WHAT MODI DID.. Single handedly created a billion dollar franchise...

He deserves it and I don't care what U guys think....

If making money is the lone yardstick, you can support Lalit Modi to the hell. Please excuse Mr. Tharoor, he may be a fan of Modi and was just trying to make some money. But, don't fail to see how BCCI is responding to the matter. And if there is anything illegal in Kochi franchiseship, how IPL selected them after the bidding? Again, I forgot that was just one among Modi's money making ways. Once prostituion is made legal it will offer much brighter chances of money making. I think people who are now running behind cricket for business will leave cricket for good then.

"Keep the politicians out!" whoa!
Lalit Modi himself works for BJP! Sharad Pawar, Arun Jaitley, Rajiv Shukla... which lala land are you living QandA? Cricket is mired in politics!
"Giving away 5% as sweat equity valued at many 10s of crores to somebody who is a professional nobody is just not done ". Why? Is it your money? IPL is a private enterprise, and if they want to give ALL 100% as free equity, it is their choice. What can you do about how other people spend their money?
"He doesn't have a support base or a powerful godfather".Ha! Modi is BJP's plant in BCCI. He was sponsored by RCA when Raje was the CM. He was voted out after Raje went out of power and came back through the other Modi.
"There was no other way he could have exposed the Kochi". Then why did he make the confidentiality agreement? He himself made the rule, and he himself chose to break it! Is this Utopia or what? Why didn't Modi make public the details of other franchises? Why onlu Kochi? Why did he let them go for the bid if he wasn't sure of the ownership pattern?
Modi is a criminal and thinks he is too important. He thinks he is bigger than the game and runs IPL like a mafia. What information do you have about the 'tie breaker' bids? What do you know about the money Lalit Modi himself makes?
Before Modi and IPL, BCCI was already a billion dollar organisation. You think BCCI became rich in

Finally government woke up. This kind of money cannot come by legal means where majority of the population is poor.

If nothing happens in this inquiry then take it for granted that 10 lac to lower IT guy and One crore per top official have been paid.

All the IPL owners should be investigated. Asked to declare their offshore accounts and ask Swiss government to divulge their account.

These guys are thieves if they have not paid their taxes. They stole from common people of India.
