Several strong candidates advanced their case to be the Leading Cricketer in the World in 2009. None, however, made such an impact as to displace the incumbent, Virender Sehwag, India's 31-year-old opening batsman, who extended the sport's traditional boundaries further still. He scored more quickly than any specialist batsman in Tests or one-day internationals. Last year he broke Test cricket's sound barrier by scoring at more than a run a ball. Australia's former captain Ian Chappell, in as good a position to judge as anybody alive, directly compared Sehwag to Sir Donald Bradman: they have the fastest scoring-rate among players of their generation, and are the only men to have exceeded 290 three times in Tests. Chappell called Sehwa
"The top order should have been more responsible. You just cannot get out playing shots and then say it is the way I always play," a fuming Gambhir said.

Absolutely right. DD batsman are playing brainless cricket. Thanks to Gambhir.

my dear anurag you can see the detail of run score by gambhir and sehwag in this IPL.gambhir just play a single match winning inning and comments like this on the other side sehwag is giving a good start in almost every match in this IPL.Remember he is the only player who scored 300 runs twice in his style only.

Look now. This is what this IPL is achieveing. Players are blaming their team mates only.
Had this remark came from Dhoni or Gnaguly for any international matches, they would have made issue of it.

even with 350, it would have been unsafe with Balaji bowling. Can you think of any other bowler trying to bowl a bouncer with the keep standing upclose and giving away 5 wides. Complete lack of common sense.
