With Sachin pleading against the Whereabout clause of WADA, it proved indirectly the Indian wanted not to be let his whereabout known to WADA so that they can do surprise or unscheduled dope tests-By doing this he has directly not gone against the dope tests but indirectly made his displasure to them. The people are aware and intelligent enough to know the reason behind this. The Security reason provided are just to fool his fanatic fans, who cant think properly.
Its not the loss that saddens teh KKR fans, but the manner in which they lost - thanx to some obnoxious players... if I have to articulate the reason for such huge losses - its the bowling dept - which is really weak. Except M. Karthick, and to some extent Abdullah. When U have assets like Agarkar and I.Sharma who even individually r capable of making their sides loose with their bowling efforts, playing both of them together is nothing short of an invitation and recipe of suicide, as happened in the last RCB game in Bengaluru wherein Utthapa and R.Taylor clobbered both of them for plenty of runs. That A.Medis was also not spared then was an exception. The middle order in McCullum, M.Tewary, D.Hussey, A.Matthews, C.Pujara, V.Saha is certainly not bad - but then these 2 bowlers - Agarkar and Ishant's contribution from bat can be safely assumed to b a big '0' in advance by default. If KKR not had dropped the super-performer Ranadeb Bose from its team in the 1st edition itself w/o even giving him a chance to play, things just might have been different today. The best 11 for KKR (w/o any Pakistani) is: 1) C.Gayle, 2) S.C.Ganguly, 3) B.McCullum, 4) Manoj Tewary, 5) D.Hussey, 6) Angello Mathews, 7) Cheteshwar Pujara, 8) Vriddhiman Saha, 9) M.Karthick, 10) R.Bose, 11) Abdullah. That easily comprises of 5 bowlers; add Gayle & Ganguly to make it 7. Other reason being poor fielding, and here again Agarkar n Ishant r big culprits. I.E., these 2 bowlers r bad buys at
Just being a captain and waiting for other players to score and take wickets does not make a gr8 captain. During his captaincy ganguly had the likes of Sachin, Dravid and Laxman in test cricket and add Yuvi to one day team to score runs. These were the consistent batsmen bcuz of whom India won. Ganguly himself cudnt score much and averaged 37 in his captaincy. Remove the other players and india wud hv lost those few away matches india won. Actually due to dalmiya india played zimbabwe and bangladesh more than any other team during Gangulys captaincy and dats why he reached the figure of 21 victories. 9 out of 21victories are against weakest side, only series win outside india is in zimbabwe (Dravid led India in 2 tests in pak & Ganguly 1 test in 2003). For every victory india earned abroad under ganguly, we lost the immediate next tests. Will a good or gr8 captain ever allow this to happen 3 times one after the other?.
Either a captain leads from front like sachin in this IPL or shud be able to get the best out of them, like Warne does. I am not saying they hv bcom gr8 captains but they proved wat captaincy requires. History has shown such gr8 captains, like Clive Llyod who built a world beater team, Imran Khan who used rookies at times and defeated opponents, Border, Waugh etc.

This IPL has shown to those who claim ganguly to be a great captain as whether he really was a gr8 captain. If at all he was then surely he wud hv either marshalled his resources properly or led from front consistently (surely by not playing dot balls) or motivated them or utilised them like Imran Khan use to utilise rookies like Ezaj Butt or wud send Abdul Qadir as pinch hitter 1 down. Thats wat gr8 captains are made of.

Stop being prejudiced. Its not just bout the wins Ganguly had during his reins in the National side from year 2000 to 2005, it was the point at which he had to lift the team up - it was the match-fixing age of Azhar, from where Ganguly had this ardous task of not just lifting the performance, but the overall game and the confidence building measure among the whole nation who had stopped watching cricket after it being maligned with match-fixing... Do not under-estimate Dada's skills, and V do not require U to judge Dada's contribution to the Indian cricket.

Both dada & dhobi are most useless just made by media. Not capable of playing against quality bowling. Dada has lowest strike rate in IPL(110) & dhobi has lowest strike rtae in T20 international(Its just 98) & not a single match winning inning by dhobi in T20 intl.

true.they should have won in ipl 1 itself..due to tailenders of rr,csk lost the cup in the final..this time they will win the cup
Between KKR and Kings Punjab, who will hold on to the coveted Number 8 Position. CSK has given a chance to punjab to hand over the coveted position to KKR. Now lets see this close finish.

Its amzing that KKR despite having some truly world class players keep losing. I wonder where all the root of the problem lies. It could be that is that Dame Luck eludes them.
Well guys just check the strike rate of saurav its the leatr among the top 5 ...........T20 is abt scoring quickly as well as scoring big...........Wen he has an explosive player like mccullum who scorem 158 in 2008 edition why on earth he didn't open wid him ..................just so dat saurav canscore 30 odd and den ppl will not complain dat he isn't among the runs ..............The selfcentrred attitude of dada is wat dat has proved to be stumbling block for KKR.........
Re: Re: Dada plays for himself
by sajo john on Apr 14, 2010 03:47 PM
chatur if u realise dat dadas runs have been useless den u wud agree wid me...............except hyd his strike rate has been poor..................I think mccullum is a better t20 bastsman than dada but still dada is comin ahead of him dat shows he is only ken on ensuring dat his place is safe in KKKR not servinteam interests
1.There are 8 matches.Out of these, KKR must win both the matches, DD and KXIP must win both their matches. 2. This will make automatically make CSK and DC to win lose their matches. 3. RCB must beat RR on 14.4.2010. 4. If 1),2),3) hold good then result of MI vs RCB can be anything, and MI.DD.RCB,KKR shall go to semis. 5. If 1),2),3) result hold good but RR beat RCB, then MI should also beat RCB .In that case RCB will be 12, and RR will go with 14 points along with MI,DD,KKR..

Itna IQ hota to useless KKR ka fan thode hi hota. MI/RCB/DC ka fan hota agar thoda bhi dimag hota
Re: KKR in semis-How?
by vathula on Apr 14, 2010 02:38 PM
the current net run rate of RR is -0.288 the current net run rate of KKR is -0.632 the net diffl in favour of RR is 0.344 Roughly this transaltes to about 100 runs or 60 balls or 10 overs. In your scenario 5, KKR should win by a very big margin in the 2 matches and RR should lose against MI by a very very big margin. This is still possible as your dreams are very very big!!! Go ahead....dream on....

by bharatpremi on Apr 14, 2010 02:44 PM
Vathula , no run rate reqd.MI,DD,KKR(14 points),RR(14points). RCB,DC,CSK all 12 points. It is clear cut point basis no Net Run Rate
