CSK has a winning mindset and posses: commitment, control, and challenge. CSK is committed to achieving its goals. It also feels in control of events rather than letting events control it. And CSK sees challenge as an opportunity and embrace it as part for the course of being a team with a winning mind.
*If Morkel leaked runs, then stop his bowling, use him as a batsman, he is better than the current form of Hussey. We have 6 other bowling options in the team. *People talk about omission of Murlitharan, but Ashwin did a commendable job in last match, he easily does the job of Muralidharan, infact Muralidharan is of late giving too much runs. So take Ashwin and use him as only bowler *Forget about India pace attacks like Tyagi, Goni, Balaji and Joginder Sharma - They are the delicious part of the opponent team.

Re: Re: Are they really in last four yet by avinash kajare on Apr 12, 2010 01:15 PM All other possibilities ruled out, if today dc defeats RC, then Mumbai is through, Probability of their disqualifying is 1 in 210.
Consider MI stucked on 16. then consider
April 12Deccan Chargers vs Royal ChallengersNagpur2000 0-1 ; RC 14
April 13Mumbai Indians vs Delhi DaredevilsBrabourne1600 0-1 &nb sp; DD 14
April 13Chennai Super Kings vs Kolkata Knight Riders Chennai2000 1-0 CSK 12
A pril 14Rajasthan Royals vs Royal ChallengersJaipur2000 1-0 RR 14
April 15Chennai Super Kings vs Delhi DaredevilsChennai2000 1-0 CSK ; 14
April 16Kings XI Punjab vs Deccan ChargersDharamsala2000 0-1 DC 12
April 17Royal Challengers vs Mumbai IndiansBangalore1600 1-0 RC 16
April 17Kolkata Knight Riders vs Rajasthan RoyalsKolkata2000 0-1 RR 16
April 18Kings XI Punjab vs Chennai Super KingsDharamsala1600 0-1 CSK ; 16
April 18Delhi Daredevils vs Deccan ChargersDelhi2000 1-0 &n bsp; DD 16
April 19Kolkata Knight Riders vs Mumbai IndiansKolkata2000 0-1 &n bsp;KK 12
Then Mumbai still might not get qualified for last four, if there run rate is below all other four teams with 16 pts.
All other possibilities of Mumbai getting disqualified r ruled out.

*With 8 batting depth and 7 bowling options (without Indian pacer) Chennai can win any match - MARK MY WORDS!

Thats why I said Morkel can be used as a batsman if he does not bowl well - coz he is a pinch hitter no doubt. There are 4 spinners in the team I mentioned above.
Yusuf Pathan is the most abused player- be in RR or even in India. Just send him ONLy during difficult times- like y'day. he could have been sent at No. 3 or even at No. 4 y'day. he could have got some time to settle down and at least make a try. RR may have still lost, but then when Yusuf pathan came in the asking rate was almost 14 in 6 overs. A tall ask. Similarly, Dinesh Karthik has been equally abused; always send him in the most difficult periods of an innings. To some extent, Uthappa was also abused- if you guys remember correctly.

I think underused or underutilized would be the more apt word..............I agree wid you..................I think Yusuf pathan must bat at no 4 or 5................where he can dictate terms.......and not the match conditions dictating his play

The others just prod and push for singles. The whole world- the captain, the team, the spectators, commentators, even the opposition thinks Yusuf can do the job. This is just too un realistic. Then yusuf goes for his wild swings- he is a far better player who desrves to get a run in, set his eyes and then play.

frankly saying Yusuf does not know how to steal singles and doubles..thats his problem ..else he is very handy at any situation...
