For all the bong brigade & sum Ganguly fans, here is wat Gavaskar had wrote about Ganguly when he retired. ------------------------------------ Sourav Ganguly will go down as a great one-day player but the same cannot be said of the stylish left-hander in Test cricket as he lacked consistency, says former India captain Sunil Gavaskar. "I think at the one-day level, he is a great player. With the number of runs he has made, the number of man of the match awards he won he is right up there. But at the Test level, he was just a level short because he was not as consistent," Gavaskar said of the Bengal player, who bid adieu to international cricket.
In fact, Gavaskar feels India will find another Ganguly some time later but what the team would struggle for is a replacement for spin legend Anil Kumble.
"It is not easy to replace Kumble or Ganguly. Their experience is invaluable but I believe Kumble is going to be harder to replace with his 600 wickets than Ganguly. And as far as Ganguly being more personal oriented than the team, ask a player who played along side him in KKR and here is what Aakash Chopra had to say in recent talk show on cricket. ================================ "Talent has to be mixed with the work ethic and youngsters don't have a problem absorbing work ethics if they work for people who are extremely successful at the international level," Chopra said.
"The problem starts where there is a bigger player who doesn't adhere to those work ethics and that is where it is difficult for a leader to put things in perspectives. Coming from Kolkata I know how the system works there and John Buchanan had a rough time dealing with certain individuals," Chopra said. ========================= So if he is not made the captain he will do everything to break the team down.

How are you? Are you Ok? I thought you are recovering from your mental illness. But seems like you are severely affected by irrepairable disease. Get well soon.
We all know who broke the team KKR last year, where they ranked and how they are performing this year under whose leadership, how the youngsters are inspired to perform well. If you have anything else to vomit let us know.
BTW,,, please continue the medication that doctor advised you for your mental illness.

Who lied to the media, that he was not told about multiple captaincy etc and then the Coach Buchanan had to clear in media that Ganguly was told everything. If Ganguly was not lying then why did SRK come out in support of him saying Ganguly was not told. SRK kept quite so it is clear Ganguly was lying and read what Aakash Chopra has wrote who did what last year.

WHEN KUMBLE'S TEAM LOST IN DELHI HE COMMENTED THAT KOTLA IS NOT A GOOD PITCH. I THINK HE HAS FOROGETTED THAT HE HAS TAKEN 10 WICKETS IN ONE INNING IN A TEST MATCH, AT THAT TIME THE PITCH WAS VERY GOOD FOR KUMBLE. NO OTHER TEAM HAS COMPLAINED AGAINST KOTLA THEN WHY SUCH REMARKS BY KUMBLE.

kotla pitch as on date is really a trash. 1 st innings is just about ok to bat on but 2nd innings is awful. Ganguly said the same thing..he reads pitch better than anyone in this world.
