what filthy money, imagine how many million people would've been outta poverty in India with this kinda money, had it been used by the government in a more priority-based manner...
they selected pune for new team though there is mi for west also there is three teams for south still they went for kocchi. There is not a single team from central India. This is not fare

Rajasthan is a Central Zone team dude...In Ranji they used to play with UP/MP/Vidharbh/Rly, In Duleep their players play for Central...Don't worry KKR will soon be Kanpur Knight Riders too :-)
At the same time they will get second level players at low price. So there is no loss for them.
The better solution is 1.First both new teams should choose 11 second level players. 2.After that all teams should take participation in auction for available players and the players with expired contract.

players can be retained only on mutual basis....if srt doesnt want to leave mi or sehwag doesnt want to leavd dd,,which is quite natural, then why should sahara create problem

This is buisness buddy and its players who matters in generating top sponsors for the teams and creating revenue and all these teams will not be bothered about price of any players which is irrelavant as they can spend only upt 7 millions on salaries. Best option will be to reatin 2 Indian players and 1 foreign players. IPL will be exiting only with level playing field and not if 2 teams will be like zim and bangla
you being part of maharashtra state franchise it is expected that you wont pick up the craps from porkiestan or bangladesh...better not to take risk...balasahab thakrey, hindu hriday samrat, should publicly oppose the entry of any porkiestani in mi or sahara...let these traitors go to srks kkr

yea...so that it will be convinient for both to fix matches!!!! and earn additional money apart from the money they get from thier owners...
sahara and rendezevous are creating unwarranted and unwanted hue and cry over this petty issue...except sachin and sehwag none of the icon is worth to be kept with team...no team other than kkr will take dada...and there will so many players in the waiting...
Re: unwanted
by Tony Thomas on Apr 05, 2010 05:42 PM
ur right...still there are lots of talented players to select from the aussie, england and south african teams...so i guess its not fair to dismantle a team which has got into a right combination over the past 2 years...

c'mon, IPL is 3 yrs old now and lot of players apart from sachin and viru are identified with the team they play for..... Dhoni and chennai, gambhir and DD, yusuf, warne and RR are combinations which are followed by the the fans - individual and team fans both....
I was in a IPL match the other day and it was FUN. there were movie songs played between the balls and for every boundaries scored - Guys the tickets in chennai are only complimentary and are being sold double the price in black market - It is all about money. Like someone put it, this is one way for Modi to take the money out of stinking rich guys. I cannot understand how Sahara or any Franchisee can ever hope to recover their money - It is just money spent on marketing...
Sahara should have thought about this before bidding. Like in case of Mumbai Indians, why should they dismantle a team that is doing great. Same with Delhi Daredevils or Bangalore? Yes, it is all about money, but it takes a few years to build the character of a team, and these franchisees have put in time and money to build it, so they should not be asked to let go that effort for new entrants.
Sahara can ask IPL to get in new players on the auction list from around the globe to compensate for lack of star power or talent. Get two each from English, Australian, Sri Lankan and South African team and divide them in the two new teams.
Exception could be Srishanth, he can go from Punjab to Kochi as Icon player.

Yes, we have not performed since long and our players are not getting their part as good as IPL so most hockey players are regretting why they didn't choose cricket.
