Dont lie - no permission is required.I have studied the Quran and Hadiths. Stop whitewashing the truth. The first wife is not even allowed to feel jealous. The husband has to provide equal access including equal sex as per the book.

That is because as per the Islamic law, for a second marriage the first wife has to give permission as far as I am aware.
Now that might have issues as he has to give enough time and allumony to first wife, also that could potentially break the second marriage in this case.
