RCB got themselves to blame!!!!
by Nathan Somas on Apr 05, 2010 07:52 PM

Agree, needeless team change is the cause of the loss. First why would you change a successfull opening pair for no reason. 2nd steyn was their main fast bowling option who provides cruial breakthroughs, why drop him, then KP is not a team player....and his present int he team will damage RCB. I agree with Kallis was little slow, but thats what his role was to hold one end and the other's fire from the other end. So I wouldn't say he was slow. So if I am anil, this would be my team selction for the rest of the tournament.

1. Kallis,
2. Pandey
3. Uthappa,
4. Rosstaylor
5. Virat.Kholi
6. Cameron White
7. Rahul Dravid
8. Vinay Kumar
9. Praveen Kumar
10. Anil Kumple
11. Dale Steyn

Team selection and neglecting dravid in cost RCB match
by sandeep tripathi on Apr 05, 2010 06:33 PM  | Hide replies

KP and white are not only over
hyped player , no need to play with 7 pure batsman they have merve who can hit the ball , good fielder and a very good bowler also his inclusion can give team extra hitting capability as well as bowling bowler. Send Dravid up the order he is better than any one else , include extra pace of Styn.....
My team would be

Manish Pandey
Kallis
Dravid
Robin uttahapa
Ross taylor
Virat kohili
Vanderwer merve
Pravin kumar
vinay kumar
Anil kumble
Dale styn

by Pathan on Apr 05, 2010 03:50 PM  | Hide replies

Ross Taylor had a nick still was given LBW
Robin Uthappa's catch by warner was not a big cheat it touched the ground.
This is what Sidhu and Boria discussed in extraings - Summer slam III

Kumble must not have dropped Manish Pandey
by Pathan on Apr 05, 2010 03:46 PM  | Hide replies

Kumble must not have dropped Manish Pandey !
He has done well in all the innings...!
Opening pair between Pandey & Kallis was 49 runs in every 5 overs. Cameron white played likea test match.

Most important is when you are having too many new bowlers like Abhimanyu mithun, Appanna,
Vinay kumar...All Ranji Bowlers its a big risk you must have an extra key bowler or batsman
Pandey or Dale steyn...! No Praveen Kumar as well so this will be a very big risk.

I am sure there Anil is intelliegent. There will be a good change.

Ross Taylor must be sent at 4

My batting order
1) Kallis
2) Pandey
3) Dravid
4) Ross Taylor
5) Cameron white
6) Robin uthappa
7) Virat Kohli
8) Praveen Kumar
9) Anil Kumble
10) Vinay Kumar
11) Appanna/Abhimanyu Mithun

Kumble made the right changes to the team, and it was a very difficult pitch to bat second and so Cameron white and Peiterson could not score freely, but peiterson will prove his worth in the future matches

neglecting dravid is a biggest mistake
by sunil k on Apr 05, 2010 02:54 PM  | Hide replies

only a foolish coach n captain can send a horible batting order like this....too many sloggers at the top of the order on a slow pitch will ruin the chase ,and that exactly what happend yesterday....folishness to send dravid at no.8....he is a prooven performer in this format of the game and is a capable batsmen under these pitch conditions ,peterson and white are not that good under these conditions....peterson is more like a media hype, not as good as collingwood in this format of the game, not a prooven performer...dont know wat's the reason to send him at no.3 , while the entire cricketing world knows that dravid is tne best player at this position even in 20-20.....dissapointed with kumble's tactics....kallis is the culprit...he doesent accelerated at the right time...playing for his 50 rather than for team needs....not a good team work...

You are right...nowadays Kallis is playing for his average and 50 than
scoring 10 runs per over ! NO worries Kallis if we don't go to final you will also go back to South Africa.....! Pack your bags along with KP, White & Taylor !

Few weeks back Robin Uthappa called Kallis as T20 bradman!!!!
by FighterforGoodCause on Apr 05, 2010 02:44 PM

SO now Kallis has taken that so seriously that he wants to play full 20 overs and remain notout to boost his average near to 100!!!..

Winning game for RCB is not at all his ultimate goal i guess!!

Unneccessary changes in team is the reason for RCB loss
by Manoj Thakkar on Apr 05, 2010 02:19 PM  | Hide replies

Manish Pandey & D. Steyn should be in inplace of C.White & A.Mithun/V.kumar, if needed Keep Dravid out if he sent for batting at no.8
Ask Kallis to play for team not for individual records.
Kallis & KP is the main reason for RCB loss.
For Kumble : I am extremely sorry but Don't make unneccesary changes/experiments in the team.it affects team winning momemtum

It was stupid to exclude Pandey
by FighterforGoodCause on Apr 05, 2010 01:11 PM  | Hide replies

And there by altering the batting position which did no good!!Kallis is hurting the team by playing with lesser strike rate.
But the real culprit yesterday was Cameron white who bowled a horrible over giving a short pitched deliveries to Collingwood who is very good at pull shots!!even a school boy could have hit sixes to those bowls!!!With promotion to open the batting he didnt make any amends to it rather spoiled banglore chances by scoring just 4 runs in 11 balls.

White should be benched and Morgan is a better option. He will add bit of variety to the batting order as RCB doesnt have a single lefthand batsmen except Morgan.
