Upcoming talent
by vicky on Apr 04, 2010 01:12 PM  | Hide replies

Rayudu is a potential talent for the indian team. If you see his past records, you just wonder why such a talent has not yet made it to the Indian team. He got a golden opportunity to play for Mumbai Indians, and show his talent to the world. Playing alongside with Sachin, for that matter the mere presence of Sachin in the team and getting a chance to learn from him would have done wonders to his confidence. Hope he continues his good form, enthrall the spectators with many such good performances, and get a chance to represent India very soon. All the best Rayudu!!!

He was once touted as the next big thing in indian cricket ..sadly Hyderabad Cricket Association thugs Shivlal yadav and his gang screwed his life.He should have been in the team ahead of the Rainas and Rohit ..good to see him resurrect himself.

for his show of disgust, when he almost knocked down the stumps with his bat after he got out. What action has been taken? was he spoken to by the match refree?

well there is difference between alomst and actual. the disgust was with himself not with anybody else. so no reason to cry foul.

This is no even contest

IPL this time has turned into a power game. The big players like Mumbai Indians got all the good players from overseas and the country.
What's the point of competition when you purchase all the best players and the other franchises cant ? Its purely a money game.
For example, Mumbai Indians doesnt have a single Mumbai player in their eleven other than Sachin.
It's unfair advantage and only the franchises with money will continue winning.

Well said. all the other teams have atleast 3 to 4 state players except MI. Money power is the main reason for MI's victory march

wel Sahin, tare, zahir, abhishek nair, dhaval kulkarni are all local players. neways its more of a smart selection than money power. Yes tyhe money power was on display for Keiron polard.

there is a cap on what each team can spend on buying/paying its team members. MI have only used their quota smartly. Their Indian contingent is the best in IPL. Their foreign players bring in the power and Malinga has done brilliantly till now. Abt mumbai/local players being there .... its Mumbai 'Indians'. Hats off to them for seeking the best from across india. When Rayudu ran out Laxman, am sure Rayudu would have felt for Lax!

MI has a potent bowling attack
by abeer auradkar on Apr 04, 2010 12:49 PM

Mumbai Indians are playing like a dream...this season and the reason for it is that they have a really excellent bowling attack...with Zaheer and Malinga...as spearheads..and the likes of Mclaren, Pollard and Bravo as genuine all rounders..who are more than handy with bowl...and to follow it up with Bhajji's lethal spin..they can easily restrict or defend any score..This IPL..MI are gonna be champions

Saurabh Tiwari and Rayudu
by sanath on Apr 04, 2010 12:33 PM  | Hide replies

Saurabh Tiwari is just 20 and the correct age to be mentored. He should have been taken into the WC team along with Rayudu. I have seen Rayudu play even before this IPL and this guy is excellent. He hadnt come into notice till now due to politics of Shivlal Yadav and his son Arjun Yadav. He can be the replacement for Dravid in the Test squad when Dravid retires, and also play in ODIs and T20s (as proved now). These two are unlucky to have missed the bus.

There are no politics. Rayudu was in ICL and hence the delay

Judging on the basis of IPL is a bit tricky.
in that case, we may recall Kumble and make him the captain for WC

@explorer kumble is retired Sachin is not. Sachin's captainship was sabotaged by the likes of azhar, mongia who never got the stardoim like sachin.
