Wicket is not part of paisa vasool
by Punit Srivastava on Apr 12, 2010 11:56 AM

U mentioned, irfan's example based on runs scored. Same u maintained in the table also. So his WICKETS and CATCHES does not contribute to his MVP status? Then why you mentioning all round performance.

You guys are covering IPL pretty good. Have come across another website lageraho. net/blog which appears to have good articles like the one here. Cricket lovers will love more of cricbytes.

yes...he has scored one six so far...but another imp fact abt him is he has own 5 out 8 matches for Mumbai Indians...without hitting sixes...while Yusuf Pathan has own only couple of matches for RR by even after hitting 21 sixes...its not just sixes that win matches...

IPL 3: The successes and failures thus far
by kalyanaraman s. on Apr 03, 2010 03:05 PM

while the analysis may have some merit and is innovative (MVPI and PVI etc.,), the inference is absolutely flawed. players may have taken part in 4 or more matches, but that is not to say that they did what they are supposed to do, especially for batsmen. While specialist bowlers will always get a chance to bowl, batsmen may not. to classify them as "struggling" is stretching the so-called "analytical powers" a lot !!

cheers

sourav ganguly is not struggling
by raja kumar on Apr 03, 2010 03:01 PM

This list has not updated. Ganguly is on the fourth position in top ten batsman. His last match was amazing in which he scored 88. He is key for wining of KKR.

Angelo Mathews paid pittance
by Nikhil on Apr 03, 2010 02:41 PM  | Hide replies

How come Angelo Mathews is paid Pittance.
Also Yusuf Pathan will go in for 1.2 to 1.5m in next round of bidding.
Robin may fetch 1 to 1.2m
Sourav, Rahul, Anil are 37 to 39 , hence may find going difficult
