Legalize betting
by Sats S on Apr 02, 2010 01:46 PM

"Teams like Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders have typically got higher TVRs and advertisers would look forward to book spots when either of these two players are playing," said Joseph Eapen, CEO, aMap"

That means matches are already fixed so that these two teams will come for finals !!

Corruption in every nuke and corner, just not in Govt and offices, of course in sports too especially in IPL.

Please legalize betting too, reports says for every IPL match in India 5000 crores pass on hands..why Govt to loose so much of revenue, legalize and earn more

Jai Bharatmata !!

Delhi Daredevils , Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians...... Deccan Chargers and Royal Challenger Bangalore were in the reckoning at this stage but consecutive losses has tipped the balance in Delhi Daredevils and Rajasthan royals favor.

IPL Videshi players also have a strategy
by E darwin on Apr 02, 2010 11:13 AM

They want to Second rate the First rate indian players by going very hard on them when situation permits. It does not matter whether those first rates are in their team or in opposing teamsn. Examples are many from DC to Punjab...

Some IPL teams like DC are not worried about winning, they are following a strategy.

Captain from India in those teams can only shield to certain extent, they have on occasions ejected/miscoached/misadvised some first rate players.

At the end of the day, selectors could make wrong choices out of IPL results because lot of these mediocres will made to look bright by Videshi strategy that desis will follow as well...

certain players like Tendulkar can pass through but not all...

On good side, lot of good foreign players can be churned out like Watsons, Tait, etc.

IPL add up to the government's tax earnings and IPL Ultimately helps the players showcase their talents and its bringing in loads of money. so where's the harm?
If u see then the start of IPL has given employment to so many individuals who can work, it has also supported the Media of the country to grow as the TRP rates of the channels have gone up tremendously, which is indirectly going to earn revenues for the government in some way or the other, where as BCCI has also stated that it is going to promote the National Sport that is Hockey by the profits that it earns from the IPL so that the people of the country also gain more amount of interest in it also.

You still dont understand dont you.
1. Bringing loads of money from where? You are paying for the products that are advertised.
2. Players are not showcasing talent for free. They are laughing all the way to the bank.
3. Employment for whom? ONly half naked cheerleaders.
4. Media is already grown. They now need to be regulated, they are going overboard.
5. TRP does not bring money from outside. Money comes from your pockets.
6. Hockey Football does not need BCCI help. It need you to devote same amount of time and money that yo u devote to cricket to become successful.

If this also does not help you understand then you were 100% dropped on your head when you were an infant!!!

1.Bringing loads of money in government's tax earnings and helping new players to survive.
2.No one work for free in this world.
3.Employment to fresh players, ground helpers, cricket pitch creator,Stadium caretakers, TV presenters, commentators etc.
4.IPL now be revealed live in many countries more then 50 countries all over the world on TV as well as on internet so money and revenues are coming from outside also.

Dear Amit Paaji Money is coming from the people's pockets - poor - middle class people and going into rich peoples pockets to make them more richer. Please understand that. If you are already rich then you should watch IPL since u can afford to. Otherwise the general public are fools to waste time on making the rich richer. They should use that time to generate more revenues for themselves and join the rich brigade. I have tried my best to make you understand. The goal is for all to become enriched and not a few.

Not grudging them their business, but Electricity for IPL in India whilst many parts of India is deprived of power for hours for even basic needs . . . that too for a game which can very well be played in daylight can be adjusted to save power.

With so much shortage of power it is about distributing the power to all needy, More matches in day time are a solution, When ODI, Test matches can be played in day time why not IPL T20, when power and earth hour means so much for the country and ecology. India is blessed with sunshine almost year round.

Seeing the lights at IPL and all around is like "if they don't have bread why don't they eat cake" for most of India is power starved, that too for a game meant for daytime
