India not keen to play
by India on Sep 30, 2009 05:40 PM  | Hide replies

It is quite clear this India team does not wish to win,let alone even play. Selectors are paying dearly for not building a younger team. India certainly needs new and younger faces in team.

and these younger team is doing nothin for the india team. Yuvraj,Zaheer and sehwag Injured. Dhoni's Captaincy and Batting is been patheic day by day. atleast Sachin and Dravid can still steer india away. Without sachin they couldn't have won the Srilanka's Final and Dravid tried to help India to try and win with Pakistan, what about Others. Pathan is playing a spoil Sport, is that what younger team is all about ?

Guys guys, U never saw the truth
by NDagr Sed on Sep 30, 2009 04:57 PM  | Hide replies

Guys, U never saw the truth. Dhoni, the man u always praised for, said for - as --- "He is the lightening force of India. Despite his not batting well, he is the one who has the skills to inspire the team, he has those qualities and captaincy traits that make this team supersede in all wins and matches easily.
And what not stuff u all said....

Now - this is the same dhoni, with all same skills bettered even with time - to inspire lead have charisma .... And look at this team now. - So what u all guys have to say.

The simple fact is and always remains - dhoni was a never anything in the wins that team india ever got. It was those team key players - team strength, collection mix of great performers, found over the last constuctive years of team india, who did all the job in wins - but reward always went to the man called dhoni.

Without those main players, Now just see the results - 3 very good players missing now and same team is losing under the same charismatic qualities of crappp called dho..

Contd..

Had those 3 been here again, india wud have won matches, and again dhoni credited. Now without em, team is failing and now all u guys wud realize that dhoni is not the man u always thought of being so unmatchable.
Its not dhoni's fault anyways. He was always knowing of his lack of skills and all. Thats why came late in conditions when team was in pressure situation and promoted other players up to go feel and perform (if they cud) under the pressure.
But when great timing in any match to just come and easy conditions, he just promoted himself up again and again - to get those runs and hit some sixes. Dont u remember the time when he wasted all those time n balls in the match that irfan brothers won incredibly at like 9 runs per over run rate reqd (made upto 9 from nothing bcos of dhoni only). dont u remember the 0s and 3s made by this crap made in world cup - where the pressure of world cup is there ? this man is a pressure failure is just aggravation - he is a nothin batsman in normal conditions even.

Dont anyone of u know of last 2009 ipl semi finals where he just kept takin singles all the time for his like 27 off 29 - n then when he tried his luck with a forced six - only got out at longon. Likewise, the six that he hit in over against WI series which got win - was just a forced try that just went luck.

And dont u guys even remember the one 50 made by the crap called dhoni - in which he hit null 0 (yes, zero) fours. Consider this - a full 50 with no fours. he even said in that match later that he likes to play just fiddling around sneaking runs here n there for 1s n 2s.

He himself knows he is a utter Defensive-Only batsman. U all only made him the aggressor. He himself knew his skills all the time. And now when he fails in tight conditions (which he knows he is only capable of even - besides running smiles with victories given n lent by other players), now u all can see that he is in reality, only good for nothin bat.

Hail this man and u will be as crap as him. Just little enuf to say about the charismatic idol of u all.

It is more than evident by now that most of the present cricketers have earned in billions through advertising and are still doing so. Naturally, there is not much interest left in playing serious game. They wont mind even if they are chucked out of the team. GOD save Indian Cricket

Should Yousuf continue after sucessive failures ?
by balajisrm on Sep 30, 2009 02:57 PM

Yousuf Pathan doesnt make any valuable contribution till now to our team . on saturday match against pak , he came in when we needed 98 runs from 85 balls . But he cant take us to victory and went cheaply giving a catch to slip cordon . IPL stars are not real stars . EX : yusuf , Karthik , RP Singh , Kohli .

Anybody tell me why V.Prasad is there as a bowling coach????????????????

Irfan,Zaheer, RP was excellent when they started playing for India, before Prasad started his coaching....

Now, look at Ishant - then and now..!!

He is good for nothing..I don't know what kind of coaching lessons are being taught..our bowlers look very impressive when they start their career but their speed and accuracy disappears after 1-2 seasons..

Similarity between Dhoni and Sreesant...?

Their on field behaviour is not natural, its acting..!!

In real, Dhoni is not cool and Sree is not imotionally violent...!!

Sreeshant has to change his attitude in the field. I think everybody is missing him. He is badly needed in the team. Similarly, Dhoni needs to change his tactics. He should stop politicising to eliminate good players out of the team. He should take his hands off Sewag, Sreeshant etc. He should focuss more on cricket as a professional not as a politician!!

It is really disappointing to see India's ouster from CT. This is not the first time that they couldn't reach SF, it has happened earlier also. Whenevr we feel that Indians will do very well in the series. They disppoint us and crash out of the tournament from the first round itself.
Consistency is the biggest problem for the Indian team and in that case I dont find this team any better than our earlier teams led by Md. Azharudding and Ganguly.

When other teams are keeping consistent players and changing to experiment only 2 or 3 players in the team, Dhoni is axing half of the consistent players and xperimenting with non-performers! Either he should show qualities of a Capt or should walk out of this position.

Little hope for India..
by rakesh goyal on Sep 29, 2009 02:36 PM  | Hide replies

The washout in Centurion means India and Australia will battle it out for one semi-final slot in Group A, with Pakistan already through. If Australia beat Pakistan on Wednesday, they'll obviously go through as toppers in their group, while Pakistan will take the second slot. It'll get more complicated, though, if Australia lose to Pakistan and India beat West Indies. Then, the margins of the wins will decide which team joins Pakistan in the last four.
The vital question is the margins of victories. Currently, the difference between the net run-rates of Australia and India appear vast: 1.00 for Australia, -1.08 for India. The good thing from India's point of view, though, is that those numbers have come about on the basis of one match only - the stats from no-result matches are excluded in the calculation of net run rates. Thus, Australia's positive net run-rate is because they've scored 50 more runs than they've conceded (in the win against West Indies), while India have conceded 54 more runs than they've scored (in the defeat against Pakistan).

For India to pip Australia, they need to ensure that they redress that balance; in other words, they need to make up for that combined difference of 104 runs. If, for example, Australia lose by 50 runs and India win by 54, the net run-rates of both teams will be exactly zero (in which case the tie-breaker will be balls per wicket for each team in completed matches).

For those saying Sachin is not effective chasing 300 plus scores, tell me which Indian player has chased 300 plus in a Big tournament...give me one example and i will be ready to accept that Sachin is passe...note that in last 2 years it was only Sachin who contributed most to India's win in tournament finals first in Australia and then in Sri Lanka....sehwag and yuvraj what have they done till now in big tournaments while chasing scores...one failure of sachin and u all ppl start barking...this is typical Indian backward mentality.
