tell me one thing.....
by Forrest Gump on Sep 29, 2009 02:34 PM  | Hide replies

For those saying Sachin is not effective chasing 300 plus scores, tell me which Indian player has chased 300 plus in a Big tournament...give me one example and i will be ready to accept that Sachin is passe...note that in last 2 years it was only Sachin who contributed most to India's win in tournament finals first in Australia and then in Sri Lanka....sehwag and yuvraj what have they done till now in big tournaments while chasing scores...one failure of sachin and u all ppl start barking...this is typical Indian backward mentality.

Hi Guys, I would like to bring onething to your notice..... Gambhir is one of the valuable players... No doubt. But Gambhir made use of 2 of 3 free hits. Pak helped to build the momentum but the team failed 2 make use... Shame

Dravid also got 2 free hits...but he is waste fellow with no cricket brains. He made gambhir run out.Dravid is a very good solid test player and can act as wall without losing his wicket.

No Hunger to Win in Indian Team !!
by naresh sharman on Sep 29, 2009 01:59 PM  | Hide replies

Friends,
Its time we saw this realistically.
Indian Board & the Indian cricket team is the richest cricket team in the world. If they are going to make money from advts, modelling, etc etc, then why do they need to slog on the cricket ground for money ??? The reason for their failure is INDIAN TEAM has lost their hunger to win matches!! Once you lose your hunger, no matter what you do, you will fail !!

When they won the T20 WC, everyone including Dhoni were hungry for WINS !!
Someone, please remind DHONI about this !!

STARS Vs CRICKET

PLS BRING IN PRABHAKAR, KAPIL DEV ATLEAST THEY WILL BRING IN SOME DIGNITY IN BOWLING DEPT AS WE REST ON PAST GLORIES AND NOT RECENT PERFORMANCES.

HARBHAJAN IS AN IDIOT IN RUNNING BETWEEN THE WICKETS SO IS DRAVID HE CANT PUSH THE THINGS HE CAN ONLY STAY AT THE WICKET FOR THE WHOLE DAY SCORING 40 PLUS RUNS.HARBHAJAN IS ONLY IN THE TEAM BECAUSE OF BEDI NOT BECAUSE OF HIS PERFORMANCE TILL NOW.HE IS ABSOLUTELY RUBBISH LOOK AT RAINA HE SINGLE HANDEDLY DEMOLISHED PAKI ATTACK IF HE WAS THERE THE MATCH COULD HAVE TAKEN A DIFFERENT COURSE.BUT LOOK AT KOHLI HE PLAYED A STUPID SHOT WHEN HE WAS SUPPOSED TO STAY BACK AND INCREASE THE PRESSURE ON PAK.

I am flabbergasted at the captaincy and selection. Pak were 65-3 and our Einstein captain brought Kohli and Yousuf to bowl. Also, Mr Srikanth are we supposed to believe Kohli is better than Manoj Tiwari or Rohit Sharma. Or RP/Ishant is better than Irfan/Munaf? Why does India have to suffer for Dhoni's favourite's non-performance?

agree with you on RP/Ishant. I would go for Munaf.

Kohli is a good choice. He was in good form in the emerging players tournament. I see no reason in not picking him.

INDIA COME BACK
by jaikishen sony on Sep 29, 2009 01:44 PM  | Hide replies

ITS COLLECTIVE ABSURDITY Vs INDIVIDUAL BRILLIANCE THE INDIAN TEAMS PERFORMANCE HAS BEEN LIKE THIS FOR YEARS NOW. FROM SUBLIME TO RIDICULE IS THE CATCH PHRASE FOR TEAM INDIA.YUSUF PATHAN, HARBHAJAN, VIRAT KOHLI WERE JUST RUBBISH THAT DAY PLAYING LIKE CLUB GUYS. OUR BODY LANGUAGE WAS DULL , FIELDING LETHARGIC,AGGRO WAS NOT THERE.
SILLY THING IS THAT WE HAVE TO RELY ON SOMEONE TO ENTER THE SEMI FINAL SPOT HOW PATHETIC.ITS BETTER THEY FOREGO THE MATCH AGAINST WEST INDIES AND COME BACK JUST FOR THE SAKE OF HONOUR.

In most multi-team tournaments like this one, India has always reached a situation where it has to depend upon the result of some other two teams' match to enter the next round. It has always been like this. First they (Indian team) play badly & then wait for some other team to play badly too so that they can go through to the nex round. So pathetic!!!

Bong or not, dada's greatest feature was he was not partial to his zone. Dhoni has his favorites in RP and Ishant and other rubbish players. Once a captain pushes for second string players, he does not deserve to be captain. Also, body language is more like scared kids than professional cricketers. Dada infused a sense of confidence in the team. Dhoni is taking the team right down the toilet. T20 WC and Champions trophy is just the beginning of the decline, unles team selection and captaincy improves.

dada was not partial? He completely opted for Harbhajan over both Murali Karthik and Kumble. And look what is the result of that now? Harbhajan is perceived to be the last hope for India, but is actually an extremely mediocre bowler who has managed to survive for 10 years.....thanks to none other than Ganguly who was responsible for rooting for this r#tard.

Well, Bhajji's stats speak for him. As for Karthik, I agree he got a raw deal. But it was also difficult to get him to play when Kumble and Bhajji were both playing.

bhajji's stats are crap dude. please dont tell me you actually think this turbaned mutt is a good bowler. ojha, mishra, pawar all are above him in terms of ability and usefulness to the team.

ok, I agree Pawar would have been as successful if not more due to Indian pitches helping spinners. But, the sad part is deserving players like Rohit, Munaf, Tiwari are not getting a chance. Its scary if the captain is dumb and corrupt.

sachin didnt play in IPL1 and still made his money...must be a committed man!
and so did a few others in IPL2?
We even had the great tortoise make a comeback!
Buddy...either sachin/ tortoise win a major trophy for India or there is no place for their 26000 runs ...period!
This is their profession and they must do it!
OR retire gracefully!

The same applies for all the players, not only to Sachin & Dravid (tortoise, as u rightly call him). Everybody should win a major trophy for India, why single out these two? The problem with humans is that good deeds of others are not easily remembered & bad deeds are never easily forgotten.

comparision
by Emraan Hashmi on Sep 29, 2009 01:34 PM  | Hide replies

As far talent is concerned India is ahead of PAk, but the reason for PAK success is they play the game with dare while our most players play with fear including tendulakar, Really it was great to see Gauti palying so fearlessly against PAK. I think the credit must go to Sehwag for training Gambhir like him.

SEHWAG & GAMBHIR two best players in current Indian team ( rated above tendulakar)

I have seen...whenever India has to chase 260 , Sachin will not be able to make even more than 10 runs...and this has been going on for decades....it seems no one is noticing this...

iam impressed with our people. wow sachin is selfish because he plays where as sehwag and zaheer are real heroes because they play for ipl and get injured and so dont play for their country. just imagine sachin in 90s used to carry the entire team if he scores we win and if he fails we lose. now is the time for yuvraj, sehwag, gambhir to carry the entire responsibility where as we still depend i repeat we still depend on sachin to win.ur so called real heroes will not play at all in important matches score at an avg of less than 25 in finals but still will be hailed as match winners ( because they score the winning shot after sachin gives them a good opening . all of u keep cursing sachin but only truth is this:

without sachin scoring we can not win.it is the point blank truth.no body is as consistent or as prolific.when india loses u all pounce on sachin not on yuvraj, sehwag, dhoni because u all accept that if sachin scores only we can win. just tell me other than natwest sereies2002 name one single tournament we won without sachin contributing. so all of u keep yelling but whatever matches we won and will winn are because of one and only tendulkar who still carries a billion hopes of a nation.( other people dont have the guts to take responsibility

Ramarao..... U mean Hussey a better player than sachin? Good comedy... Hussey is the most inconsistant player ..... His average was 80 and dropped at death to 55. Dilshan - he started to perform for the past 1 year only, a kid which is growing. Dravid is not a better one than sachin ( ODI s ). Alot of examples I can say frm ur list. Listing the names is not a big deal.
