After the recent Sri-Lanka win In Srilanka, there was talk about the quality of our fast bowling resources. Both Ishant and RP were over-rated and the sudden decline in form and ability was a surprise for everyone. Even Zaheer thought Nehra/Ishant was a good pair. The ODI bowling lineup will consolidate after this loss and dropping RP and Ishant was not justified after the Sri-Lanka ODI win in the Compaq Cup which India won because of Sachin's hundred.

Who ever support Dhoni, pls see last 25 ODIs and T20s stat, that India and chennai Superkings had played, and see how he performed under pressure and without pressure.(same did happened when windies took our first two wickets cheaply.luckily that boy Virat was there) Whats more, when it is about an award from the The President of India, he is the one who thinks to skip the event in order to make him available for an ad shoot. And u say he's patriot??? if yes, then no comments sir. (and u think Indian players represent Republic of India or the billion people, just watch soccer world cup . It has always found that on need Tendulkar did nothing and I am sure he will do nothing ever till his career end. But surprise to see another man Dravid always chasing 300 odd runs he play like test match and never increase run rate after the establishing him in the field, the result pressure goes to other player and they got out. From out side it visible clearly and every Indian understand, but happens nothing change on Tendulkar or Dravid. I am sure it is big big big big tragedy for Indian team.

It is only a luck that Australia reached semifinal. Had it not scored a couple of runs we will be in semifinals. So we should not feel bad about our performance. It is only oure badluck.
I am in agreement with Akram's comments and more. They do look jaded and lack the intensity required of a champion side. I do hope all is well within their ranks. I hear stories that the age old malaise of a divide between the youngsters and the oldies has cropped up once again. Dravid does not seem to command the cricketing respect of his team mates. While I do not discard the fact that he scroed a pile against Pakistan , his rate of scoring was deplorable for a one day game and I believe his lack of understadning with his partner at the wicket,Gambhir - which lead to the later being run out was the turning point which eventually lead to India's ouster. Dhoni seems to have lost his stuff and perhaps his unquestionable leadership is now being questioned. Sehwag, Gambhir and Yuvraj are waiting in the wings. Talent has never been in question. it is its application both physically and mentally that is concerning. It would do Team India good , if the upcoming players are given fast and bouncy pitches that will help s deal with the short -pitched stuf on a continual basis and also give our pacers a chance to last a little longer stint to stint.
