Rohit SHarma
by Swaran Singh on Sep 26, 2009 01:44 PM

Rohit Sharma is one of the worlds great batsman; and a great bowler. Not finding him in the team shows how selection is done by gamblers and fixers. He is a great player in the history of world cricket. I hope he will not disappear in the dustbin of fixing gamblers. Lots of courage Rohit to you. India is proud of you.

Rohit sharma should have been replaced as yuvraj singh is out with a fractured finger for 6 weeks and there is no point in keeping him in the squad just devoiding an opportunity to other youngster...first sehwag now yuvraj out and i hope next india will not be out of the competition...

There is absolutely no doubt that he is a class player with superb technique and would contribute a lot to Indian cricket in future. But looking at his recent performances in t20 as well as one days, i got a feeling that he got into a comfort zone and was carelessly throwing his wicket away. Dropping him now and getting his hunger back would be the best thing for him, same with Irfan Pathan.

Virat Kohli is also a classy batsman with good technique and has been somewhat unlucky so far and deserves to be given a chance.

what it means
by sridhara jayateertha on Sep 24, 2009 11:25 PM

In the absence of Virendra Sehwag I was asked to open the innings. In a 50-over match you get more time to settle down, but 20-20 demands aggression right from the word go.

"I tried to play my shots early because the team needed a brisk start and got out early. This also raised the question about my technique against the short ball, but there is nothing wrong,

you got out because of opening. then what about sehwag/

you will get a chance soon score a club hundred.

because u r not uttappa.

Rohit's Temperament is Suspect.
by rakesh sadhu on Sep 24, 2009 10:51 PM  | Hide replies

It is not as if Rohit's ability is in any doubt. The same can not, sadly, be said about his temperament. I, for one, feel that he has got enough chances to prove himself & has let everyone down. Time now to give chances to other youngsters like Cheteshwar Pujara, S Badrinath, Abhishek Nayar & I would love to see Swapnil Asnodkar & Ajinkya Rahane go as associate members of the team to get some exposure & help from the seniors.

Rohit's Technique and performance in IPL and our IPL Stars
by Kanya Balakrishnan on Sep 24, 2009 10:41 PM

I do not know what is preventing from performing in the same way they performed in IPL when playing india International Matches of the few below mentioned super Stars of IPL2. Mr.Rohit,R.P. Singh, Yusuf Pathan and Dinesh Karthik etc.,

Our Indian Bowlers cannot perform the same way in india international matches and they are superstars of IPL. The way they bowl is like asking the batsman where to bowl for the batsman to hit nicely our bowlers.

Ishant Sharma bowling Big Letdown and also and he cannot all world pitches like australia!!!!!

Imagine our injury list

Virender Sehwag and Zaheer out of international competition due to IPL Injuries!!!!!!!!

Can't indian cricket bowlers bowl yarkers like malinga and umar gul and i do not know what is preventing our indian players to perform in india's international matches the way perform in IPL???????

Indian Team total let down??????

Did you all agree this team's performance??????

Article is Wrong in portraying Short pitched bowling as his probl
by Talisman on Sep 24, 2009 06:00 PM

In twenty twenty world cup, Rohit never flinched playing short pitched bowling. It was Suresh Raina that couldn't face it and still cant. Rohit could have been more judicious in his short selection.

So, the article is portraying a totally wrong view, in my opinion! Have mercy people!
