He has adjusted his batting, and without setting things on fire managed to be on the top of the List for long time. He has cut down his natural aggression and now bats with much care. He is one guy who is capable of scoring at a rate 200. But he has swiched to lower gear to be sure for a score of 50 @ 105. Hope he can use this skill of his to keep the Team at no 1 slot.
It does not matter even if he tops the rating for 10 years, it is all because of his ‘luck’. There is greatness in only one cricketer. If that overhyped cricketer scores even 1 run, it shows his greatness, but if other scores 100 it is ‘luck’. Well my dear friends, everything in life is luck. If your supposdely talented demi-god has talent, that is also his luck. If you are not a celebrity that is your bad luck. It does not mater if India loses every match. Mr great should be worshipped. It does not matter if India is at the top of the table. It is ok for India to be humiliated, but mr great must be worshipped. These people mr great more than India, and precah others about sportsmanship.

Request - The above statement is probably written by some poet.. you are a genius pls elaborate more :)

:) you are obviously twisting to make it look like he doesnt have talent. will it make u happy if we all agree he doesnt have talent.
Tell me something bro.. has tendulkar not scored hundreds in test and onedayers in south africa or Australia, newzealand and england? Do you consider any of these countries have fast bowling pitches? He has scored more hundreds in all these countries than most cricket players.
Its one thing to hate a person.. thats your prerogative. But, another thing to deny the fact that they are good. Thats like u do a good job in your office, but still denied promotion. Would that leave u happy if manager were to do it (touchwood, nothing of that sort should happen. you should get all your promotions for the good work u do).
Dont belittle anybody's achievement. Lets give credit where its due. While the stats may say that he averages 31 in SAF, the same stat will also show that in 2003 world cup he scored more than 600 runs.
What will make us appreciate our champions - be it sachin, dravid, ganguly, bhutia, geet sethi, vijendar or jeev singh. LEts be good to our sporting heros, please. No other country people does this to their heros. Dont be the 1st on this. There are so many other fields where we can be number 1 by supporting people.
Your comments were harsh showing patchy statistics while ignoring the long standing service. Didnt mean to put u down, but felt sad that u found one piece of data to belittle a champion. Take care mate.. cheer

you are preaching too much, we love milkha singh and baichung bhutia, we hate these superstar celebrity type overhyped crikcting demi-gods who are eating up the money and fame that should go other sporstpersons, and who also don’t have the decency to step down ad let the younger generation take over. Why not call Sunil Gavaskar back to the team?

Well if others are so good, let them gain their spot on their own.. not wait for sachin to retire.
sorry bro.. ur logic is skewed.. ITs like asking a 50 plus year old man to retire from work because he has worked for years together and should make way for youngster.. It doesnt matter. At work we see some one is good or not.
As far as making money.. i dont know what u really mean.. !! All famous people/organization who have brand value be it make money by virtue of their work/product/patent. Be it microsoft, michael jordan, sachin tendulkar, shane warne, schmacher or beckham. They have built their name over the years. I have no idea where u get these skewed ideas from.
Sorry mate.. nothing personal.. please get your arguments rite. Can you write a simple straight forward debateable point please. :)

you are right, india has no young talents left, only 40 mr overhyped failure is there in the country, he has failed so many times but still he is there in the team, that is because he has an army of blind worshippers like you, if he gets success in 1 match he is good for another 20, while youngsters are kicked out in 1 match, thats the difference
Re: Re: Re: Re: SACHIN IS SIMPLY THE GREATEST

the difference beteen mr overhyped failure and say, federer is that if federer loses a match he will be out and not 6 billion blind worshippers can get him back in the tournament, while mr overhype can hide behind the team for 20 matches, and still continue to earn money brand value a la rakhi sawant does not impress me, criket is full of famous match fixers who had brand value

In other words, we should jump at Mr Tendulakars’ achivements but wherever he has not done well, we should write long essays justifying why these results don’t matter. Only his successes matter his failures don’t matter. Instead of preaching others, you should learn to just say YES HE FAILED THERE. Long essays filled of things everyone knows is not going to convince anyone. Even if he fails continuously, you will keep saying the same things, because you have made up your mind to worship them. Whatever Sahcin does is because of his greatness, but when others achive success, they are ‘lucky’

I have no issues with saying he averages only 31. But, i do have a issue with putting down somebody. thats y i didnt mention tendulkar alone in my "long essay".
If i have to write long essay to call something i feel strong about i will write, whether AB j likes it or not :) Truth is sportsmen needs to be measured based on their career achievements and not in patches. Criticize.. thats fine. Dont put somebody down.

long essays like yours are extremely boring and pointless, and no one has the patience to read all the half-baked garbage coming out of your keyboard, that is why i advised you not to write long essays, it was for ur good only

very funny ... wat do u mean by failure? If,avge 31 in SA agianst SA is a failure...wat abt other 4 batsman (excepting Dravid)..? He is still in the team coz..he is second in the list.. Let him be the 6th in batsman's performance list for any tournament, we shall fire him. Even I am waiting for the day, but its not happening for 20 years

He averages more than 40 IN South Africa. It's VS South Africa he averages 31, which will soon be rectified and improved.

Let me get to you very straight..."demi-gods who are eating up the money and fame that should go other sporstpersons".....how can you possibly say this? How can you assume that money should have gone to other sportsperson. I will not give you any reason, because I know you do not play any sport and thus not worth my time to answer your questions on sports.
