Sanjay is jealous about sachin tendulkar's fame and popularity.. he should first check his strike rate and avg. before commenting on star player.. i said this that time and saying it now too.. mind it sanjay..

He said
Sachins average is in the 20s while chasing,which is really bad.(This was a fact)
Sachins performance has been very average cause he was afraid of failure and was very insecure(at that time it was a fact,infact Sachin himself has admitted all thru his career he had many sleep less nights)
Sachin was spared and every other batsmen was criticised during those days when India lost ODIs(again this was a fact,how many of u even know that India lost wayyyyyyyyyy too many finals since 2000 despite going to finals beating a weaker team in most triangulars,and Sachin was spared and others criticized,so again this was a fact)all Manjrekar did was use figurative speech and corelated sachin with a elephant...
So i dont know what was wrong that Manjrekar said all these and how even he is Jealous of Sachin...
U guys r going to have a crisis in ur life when Sachin retires at this rate u defend him blindly....
dont expect every former player to keep quiet when ur idol flops and not everyone is Sunny Gavaskar who would write a book praising sachin even if he sneezes

Any player who can score at average of 62 even if it is only in the 1st innings - it would be worth in gold as no other player who played for India during the same time did it. Manjrekar is overjealous and seeking cheap publicity.

Dear Raman- Can u name one person that has similar longivity like Tendulkar does, in world cricket? do you know, why? Because the man keeps pushing himself to the limits and does not get satisfied with what he has done. Now, this is not a man that you want to lecture and/or motivate. Mr. Manjrekar can have his opinions. However, when he repeats it over and over, you have to conclude, it is an attention getting tactics.

Haha Raman.. Very funny... A guy here is averaging 62 in 52 ODI's. Now u classify it into first innings and second innings and point out his avg is 26 in second innings. If you really follow cricket, how many current or then Inidan cricketers average over 40? is it 1 or 2? But then, u have to criticize everyone when the team looses with no exceptions. Now, who told you Sachin was sparred. Critics on the media is just dump for cricketers who dont even bother to read. Even then, say we will still go with you and criticize Sachin. What is the point of criticizing the player? Is it not,so that the player corrects his misatkes in the future. Did'nt Sachin do good for the last two years?
Also if I rememeber correctly, Manjrekar advocted Sachin should retire.Did'nt Sachin him and other critics proove wrong with his bat.

How many former Indians are hyped as much as ur idol Sachin?u cant have one without the other,if u get hyped and treated differently be ready to take some flak when u deserve,that is what happpened to sachin,he was hyped over and over again so Sanjay Manjrekar pointed out his flaws....so how does that make him jealous
Infact the more and more u guys try to act this obsessed and crazy over ur hero Manjrekars point is proved again and again,Sachin is like that Elephant everyone is afraid to talk..

What do you mean by over-hyped? He is performing so he is in the team.Goto cric info stats and show me any period of 1 year where he is 5th or 6 th in the Indian batting performers list. Back up ur arguments with facts dude.
Anyone whether its former cricketers or critics or cricket fans,the moment they criticize ur idol Sachin they are branded Jealous,is there any other defense that u guys have to defend ur guy?u guys r dreamers,u guys think he is immortal or beyond criticism when he is a human like everyone..

No one is above criticism and so is Manjrekar for his overjelous comments. It's always natural for each of us readers to weigh in criticism and try to check if this is factual and fictious.
He is one guy want to put pressure on Sachin all the time and want him to retire for some reason. Well If Sachin is an elephant in the dressing room, what about Jaya that every 6 months he goes through a lean patch..and Ponting went 16 months without a major contribution in ODIs, what about all other senior players. He is just stupid fellow not achieved much with his cricketing career, trying to make some money with his meaningless talk against Sachin. It is because he played for 20 years..doesn't mean that he has to retire at the age of 36. He still got the talent and skills to compete with the youngsters. He is only targeting Sachin because he knows that's how he can't get a lot of attention.

Sure he does know better than Nathan but not better than Sachin. He does not even qualify to comment on Sachin. Obviously, he can not dis-own what he said before - so what he is saying now is the only thing he could. There is no doubt most people in media talk about Sachin just to get attention such is Sachin's influence on India and Manjrekar is no different when he is commenting on Sachin.

Fully agrre with you. Manjrekar could not do well in his carreer, so now trying to get some cheap publicity, like any other guy by comenting on SACHIN.As a comentrator also nobody likes him like Siddhu,Shatri,Sunny and thats why he commented on Sachin. Some bulshit people are trying to justify his non-sense statement. Its really a pity. While at the age of 36, he is able to hit such a brillient century, why people want him to retire,I cant understand. I agree, if somebody is more competant sitting outside the team becuase f him and he is regulerly unable to score, he should retire. I can tell you guys, player like SACHIN will not wait for other people to advice him to retire, if he fails regulerly. So please stop criticising SACHIN.

Dude Mr.Cricket, Think of this scenario. India is playing aginst bangladesh. India bats first, sachin scores century.India make 270-280 and India win comprehensively. Now how much value do you guys attribute to that innings? Not much right? wa-da-fa..its just first innings..no pressure..against minnows... Flashback to India vs Ban in 2007 worldcup. India made 191 and ban chased it with 9 balls to spare. India out of worldcup. If sachin scored a century in that match, noone would have recognized its importance. You will only know its greatness when its ceases to exist. Now do you understand, why ppl are given Man-of-the-Match awards, even if they make a century in the first innigs without pressure. Because they know its worth. Not dum..sses like us. So I dont think all the 17k runs or 13k in test went in vain. So scoring at avg of 62 in 52 ODI's. You criticize that phase...ppl should be retarded. So thats why we reason him to be jealous...Does'nt this sound , sound defence to you. So come out honestly and agree you hate Sachin instead callling us ardent fans. And dont get me started on 'Patriotoism'. I am an Indian and I am proud that an Indian is the world's best in his field. P.S: A survey in australia few years ago..reflected Sachin as the best current player ahead of pointing or Lara.
