Sachin's effort came at the Premadasa, ona dusty wicket against sri lnkans who are unbeatable at home. WHile pontings came on a flat pitch against unknowns like rashid, brenan who even IPL players like B Akhil and Naman Ojha can smash. Also, Ponting playing after a 3 week break, while Sachins been at it non stop. Add to it the Lankan humidity, dust compared to English cool, and its a no contest.

very very well said.... but never compare two players dude. Sachin and ponting are way different..the conditions they played were different.

In the recent period, Sachine takes too much break between schedule, so that he can prepare himself fit for aganist any particular country.

sachin never scored 100 in a sucessful chase of 300.! not even against kenya.

c scoring 85 or 90 is also a near score to 100.. he made it half a dozen times while chasing 300 which I dont know completely but one instance I know is that sachin made 85 while chasing 308 vs Australia in 2008 in nagpur. I think there are couple more, but is this clear to you... know well the stats dude.. then you wont comment in this way....

But did we win that Match?? check that also. When Ganguly scored 124 against Pak we won that final chasing 316. When Dada Scored 60 against Eng in Natwest Final we won THAT. sO FIRST u check ur stats

the aussies have proved once again. beating the england team in their own backyard 5-0 is something really great. ponting is a great captain as well as one of the best batsman of all-time. hope that can also make it 7-0 for a white-wash of the english. who can forget the 5-0 white wash the england team got during the 2007 ashes series.
