Its a pity to see all these moronic one sided comments by people on this forum. There are some who would mindlessly bash Sachin for no reason and then there is another side who wants to make him God. Why can we treat him and others like humans and promote meritocracy. It is true that Sachin is still an amazing batsman and asset for any team but it is also true that he is no longer the best batsman in the world. But that doesn't make him any less brilliant after all he has showed consistency for 19 years now.
Also he earn his place in team everytime and thats the way it should be. He should play till the day he can contribute >= the 11 players. The day he cannot do that, selection board has all the right to pick someone else. Nothing is permanent in cricket and in life but definitely the ones who plays a long and bful inning are the one we know as 'GREATS!
So dont go by emotions and be rational before putting any comment.

Sandeep, He is still a very good player but not the best for sure. Look at his average in last 4 years and you would find atleast 6 batsmen ahead of him.
He completely dominated the late 90s period but now even in India Ghambhir/Sehwag and Yuvi are contributing more. But no doubt on his day he is the best.
Also you would get it by his statement only when he said that it was one of his best knock... its because he doesnt play like this very often now... If this knock would had come in late 90s it would had just been one of the many.

wat has sachin done except drive ferrari and make enought money to last 10 generations ? A true great is Bill gates, who inspite of being so rich is raising Aids awareness.... indian cricketers know nothing but increase money in swiss bank account

Yaar Saamil Dhakkan laga ke paida hue ho kya bhai?
Nobody is comparing Bill gates and Sachin here. Nobody is even comparing their philonthorpic activities. Sachin has 'earned' his money, why are you so jealous? He hasn't used any bad way to get this money. He has simply worked hard. His cricket record makes him a great cricketer and the fact that he comes from India and carries burden of 1 billion people's expectation everytime he plays makes him a great India too. He might not be a great donator. And mind you, one has a right to praise any person he like (in your case it might be Gates because of his philonthorpic activities) but you can't pull down or malign another greats!!
Use those cells in brain my friend its not so difficult to understand.

bill gates is a complete monopolist and he's personally seen the demise of many competitors through illegal manipulation. you are impressed by chump change thrown by him ? its a shame that you pick people from different background, im pretty sure you are enamored by wealth.
sachin's on field achievements have no bearing on his personal life. he's a cricketing legend, and one simply drag his personal life into it.

Shukla, tumhare sir me bhagwan ne dimag ki jagah gobar bhara hai kya?
An upcoming criketer from Australia, a country known for cricketing excellence, comes to learn all the way from Australia to India from a master called Sachin Tendulkar.
If you are a cricket fan you should be happy about this that 1) Phil Hughes is a very keen young man ready to work hard 2)Aussies respect Indian cricket & specially Sachin 3)People have started recognising that India is the place to go if you want to have a feel of cricket 4) Geographical boundaries no longer matter for love of the game. And if you are not a cricket lover - STAY AWAY FROM THIS FORUM. DO NOT SHOW YOUR IGNORANCE.

Guys, If cricket was an individual based sport... SACHIN would be way way greater than !@#$ing Federer... who plays for his own self... whereas SACHIN plays for himself, the team, country and billions of people..
The most entertaining thing for me is to watch Sachin shove his bat down the throats of each and every jealous hater on the planet time and again. It's so satisfying and refreshing. All those losers keep praying for his failure, and he just slaps everyone of them, knocking all their teeth every time, LOLzzzzzzzzzzz. They can only hope for his failure or for the selectors to drop him. But he comes into the team when he wants, and goes out when he wants. Not to mention almost each and every ex-player/current player/cricket expert rating him as one of the greatest batsman to walk on earth.
Keep it up Sachin, the whole of India and the world of criccket loves you.

And what are you dire straits , who cares about what you speak either .So if somebody hates Sachin or feels that someone else is better , why it bothers you, seems you have nothing in you to be proud off , so getting solace in sachin's achievements :-)
We love cricket as our religion and we do beleive Sachin is our God. We are not forcing you or any of the Sachin bashers to like him. Its just we do not like when people like you say "What Sachin has done" He has immense talent in him which I am sure none of your last 100 generation will have. You cannot compare money to someones talent. and not to mention he is a down to earth person inspite of having 1000 times money than all your family wealth combined. And as per you staying in US, we don't care where you stay, but we owe a lot to this great man.

i know many people around me who keep bashing tendulkar saying he has become old to play now...he must make way for youngsters...and i like it when they say that..becoz whenever they say this...Sachin comes out with even more strenghth and determination...so schin bashers..keep bashing him...and God give him more strenghth to play....jai ho Sachin

I agree with you. Not 100 generation. Another Sachin will never come. Only those will say bad about Sachin who has not achieved anything in their life and in their own field of specialization.

I think those who have not achieved anything in life try to feel good by using Sachins achievements as if somehow. As.k yourself

There are thousands of GREAT ACHIEVERS in India who are Sachin fans. If you think they have not achieved anything..... please list yours.

Well said Tushar, It seems Manasi means to say only an achiever can praise another achiever! If you are not that much successful you don't have a right to praise someone, am I right Manashi?

Looks like you want to generate a heated discussion by such lowly unwarranted comments. Else you may be deriving some thrill by posting such seemingly provoking statements. Very well suits a person who has not much to cheer about in life, irrespective of his (adopted) land of residence. best wishes.

raman shiva, thanks for sharing ur thoughts but just a suggestion here, respect for humanity is vital and u know appreciation empowers the spirit and u know calling humans lowclass or high class, is not reflective of what humans are actually capable of. its our earth and its vital that we respect.

hahaha....it seems that u will fall to ground and cry like a baby.... dont cry man.... we are just enjoying by praising sachin.... by the way - i am also in US and still a supporter of sachin.... also he makes lot of money than any of us in USA and that cricketers do earn gr8 if they want after their retirement.... its not that they dont earn money after they retire....
