win one match - and already in final? what nonsense
by Oomshik Tooshik on Sep 12, 2009 12:51 PM  | Hide replies

This is a meaningless tournament with a disinterested NZ already packed up to go back today, regardless of win/loss. they do not care. And what format is this, when India is in the final with just one match won?

Meaningless

Gamini De Silva
by Bhaarat Darshan on Sep 12, 2009 09:56 AM  | Hide replies

An idiot umpire like Gamini De Silva is there so it is almost impossible to be the champion in Sri Lanka !
Remember his dirtiest umpiring last time when Indian batsmen ,especially Sachin, were the victims of his umpiring.
It surprising & shocking that he is still doing his job and ICC has not banned him !

its Unfair to blame only one umpire cos these days almost all the umpires are making big errors...!!!...and besides an umpire is just a human...ICC should introduce the referral method (3 challenges method) in order rather than thinking of time...!!!

New Zealand Talent Lacks Focus
by chacko v on Sep 12, 2009 09:44 AM

New Zealand has a very talennted team but lacks focus. The main need for the New Zealand is a top order batsman who can carry his bat through the innings. Someone whom the natural stroke players everyone can play around.

His role is that of a anchor. Saty put and make sure that India don't lose anymore wickets, take singles and then pick up the run-rate. This role works on ODI not in 20-20.

Can one man win World cup?
by B M on Sep 12, 2009 08:25 AM  | Hide replies

Can one man win world cup for their country? Yet, there are some idiots who keep on asking "When will Sachin win the world cup for India"? If the responsibility of winning the world cup lies entirely on Sachin, what are the remaining 15 players supposed to do? Go shopping?

And You are the I_D_I_O_T who unnecessarily evoked the Sachin's issue here when article is clearly attributing the Win to India...If Sachin bashers are criticized then you the praiser of him should not also point a finger on someone else ? why the hell you topped the sachin's issue here. not any one have criticized him in above forum so far....

very true. At the sametime i hope you do realize that sachin is a just a player and when you go to town saying sachin won the match for india, that is also not quite true. He contributed a major factor to the victory. Not won it alone for india.

about dravid
by spring on Sep 12, 2009 05:23 AM  | Hide replies

sanath and other dravid supporters, read this carefully. he has faced millions balls in life and still he cant bat fluently. he know only defence against top class bowler and for low class bowler he become active and start scoring run. he is most selfish indian batsman i ever seen in any country cricket matches and i cant believe he is still playing as if there are no alternative or talent in india. if you analysis his 10000 runs in one day, most of the runs come from weak bowler. what do we learn from this match?
- still can't play fluently as required for one day
- match boring to watch
- playing for himself
- putting pressure on other end and incoming batsman.
- lack of confidence.

why not his i__di-ot blind supporters open up their eyes and see it clearly... btw i am from karnataka

You mean to say that all Indian wickets should should shall before the 24th over without even scoring even 125 runs. Please try to uderstand the pitch and the way the bowlers are bowling. In a low scoring match one should be very careful while batting. The batting done by Dravid in this match was need of the hour.

This nut case Spring seems to be a senile character, we don't need to know from him Dravid's record against quality opposition especially his record overseas which is one of the best ever among the all time Indian batsmen. wake up , do your homework first & then bark.

Spring, Dravid halted the fall of wickets at a crucial stage & allowed Sachin to play his natural game which eventually turned out to be a pivotal phase in our route to victory. We anyways had to score just above 3 an over, there was not need to adopt slam bang batting & risk early wickets. Don't just blindly draw conclusions, a cricket match needs to be won irrespective of how exciting or boring it is.
