Expect India to have a tough time vs. NZ

India is dependent on Tendulkar, Dravid and Yuvi. The rest of the batters won't be missed, even if they don't play.

All three are great players. However, even the greats need time to adjust. Nz knows that once they get rid of Tendulkar, Dravid and Yuvi, the game is in their hands.

None of the other guys except perhaps Dhoni and Karthik can play the quick pace or bouncers well enough.

Suresh Raina was pathetic in the way he played against England in the world 20-20. Not sure, why anyone would want this guy in the team. He is an immature batsman who swings the bat like a golf club. He has flaws that tell you the guy has to go back and play domestic cricket for years to become a batsman. Yusuf has not shown he can play pace the same way he plays spin.

The bowling attack in the hands of Ishant Sharma does not inspire anyone. IShant is like a spare wheel and not the main wheel.

Hope I am dead wrong. However, the team is Not inspiring confidence, at the moment. What are your thoughts?

I tend to agree. I don't think we will do well in this Sri lankan mini tour.
the players haven't played competetive cricket for a while , while Sri Lanka and NZ are well oiled for this.
I wouldn't be surprised if we don't make the finals.
Too much talk has been made about the Number 1 ranking. There is too much distraction/ pressure. This will be a failed tourney for India.

I hope I am proven wrong though

I'm also agreed buddy! Ishant doesn't look like an ODI bowler. He's good when comes tests though. And, opening with Kartik also doesn;t make sense. Nair could be the right choise, right and left hand combination would provide them an extra edge. He's far better batsman than Kartic.
