What the fuss
by Maverick on Sep 10, 2009 09:02 AM  | Hide replies

What is the fuss all about. I didn't see any drama there. There is just a gentle push, may be a forceful gentle push on the camera.

If there had been a real punch to the cameraman...that could have been some attraction. It would really have served as bread and butter for the TV channels for the next two days.

UNCULTURED LOUT THAT BHAJJI IS PROVEN AGAIN!
by Sensibility on Sep 10, 2009 08:30 AM  | Hide replies

From the video one finds that Bhajji angrily shoved the camera away. Yes, the video camera did touch Bhajji's head, so what? What is there to behave like a goon? Bhajji is seen wearing a 'patka' not a turban. And, in any case, the camera accidentally touched this lout's head. It is clear that cricketers like Bhajji, whose very attitude is basically that of a goon, have lost their head because of the irrational adulation they get from stupid fans.

A cultured sane person would have just told the cameraperson to not come so close. But then this bloke has been notorious for his loutish acts and he gets emboldened because there are thousands of idiots around him who clamour for their autograph etc and these third rate fellows end up being a douche bag.

Most of the Indian cricketers are known to salivate and willingly give interviews to TV channels or get photographed by publications when money is thrown at them like meat loaf thrown to a canine. Bhajji is one of them.

With the amount of money these louts have some how got which they did not deserve to get has made them lose their mental balance. But then in India perhaps mad caps are allowed to roam freely behaving in most unruly and disgusting manner if they are rich or are some friggin’ cricketers!

apart from the older issues with harbhajan , this one is different. Mr. sensible, wearing a patka or a turban doesn't make any difference. wat u expect of bhaji? to get angry only if he was wearing the turban?

A cultured cameraman cudn't have gone too close to bhaji.

I m astonished by ur comments "third rate fellows!!!".. well i can bet. ur children must be fan of some of these cricketers. and u are too...people like entertainment and media is the best source by any way.

they are rich because they got some talent, if not..u can try for the next upcoming indian team.
and if their words sell.. they wud do it for money... Don't you??

Argentina lost to Paraguay
by Quazi on Sep 10, 2009 08:19 AM

Paraguay seals World Cup berth with 1-0 win over Argentina . After Wednesday's defeat, the two-time World Cup champions, temporarily in the fifth place with 22 points from six wins, four draws and six losses, was left in real danger of missing out on the finals for the first time since 1970. According to the qualification rules of the South American zone, the top four teams earn tickets for the World Cup finals, while the 5th placed team enters a home-and-away playoff with the 4th placed team from North, Central America and Caribbean.

Harbhajan is an impulsive personality
by binoj peter on Sep 10, 2009 07:26 AM  | Hide replies

It merely reiterates the fact that Harbhajan is an impulsive personality. Whenever he finds something unfavourable to him, he reacts strongly without considering consequences. Same was the reason behind Sreesanth incident. In this case, he could have asked the security to move back the photographer or just talked to him politely. He is a great cricketer but unfortunately could not grow into a good personality. Therefore don't be surprised if we find more controversies surrounding Harbhajan in the future.

Any of my Sikh friends would have impulsively reacted if someone touched their turban even by mistake. Bhajji infact looked to have reacted very mildly.

The cameraman did not intend to hit Bhajji's turban purposely. It just happened by mistake. Agreed, Bhajji reacted mildly, but he could have politely & sternly asked the cameraman to not come so close, what was the need to hit out? If your friends would act in the same way as Bhajji has done, then they too would be as over-impulsive as him.

will these media will ever learn there lesson?
by hitesh kavle on Sep 10, 2009 06:45 AM  | Hide replies

these so called photographers n cameraman make me sick, tell me guys, if someone goes in there home n try to take there pictres in there privacy will they let it happen without making any complaints? i guess not, then why we dont understand that all these cricketers are also human beings and they do have rights to protect there privacy too, just see the video, the guy is touching from back of bhajji, how anyone will know who is coming from behind, wht if that was a guy with a knife in his hand? wht if he had stabbed bhajji to death? how anyone can be so sure that the guy has got cam in his hand and not a weapon, have u guys forgot what happen with lankan cricketers in pakistan? it is natural for anyone to be angry under these circumstances, so please stop blaming bhajji for all these, if i was in his place i might hv slapped the guy, bhajji just push his cam away, n all of u r talking as if bhajji beat that guy to death...wake up guys, its become a fashion nowadays for u all to blame anyone, just keep urself in there shoes n then u will understand the pressure of carrying one billion peoples hopes on shoulder n performing to win.. and about these media peoples, they think they r invisibles, no one can touch them or harm them, bullshit, they need to shown there place..yes we want to read and see about our stars but on cricket field not in there privacy...

Kavle:

a) the cameraman did not go to Bhajji's house..... it was in a public place
b) the camera brushing Bhajji's head was clearly an accident...

Reading through your comments I have no doubts that you would have slapped the cameraman..... coz for some curious reason you bear a big grudge against media people... especially unknown cameramen..... :)
And for some curious reason of your own you want to show the cameramen their places..... :)

All right.... go for it..... :)

Camera man hit his head unintentionally and he reacted to it. That's it. There isn't anything more than that.

Some sensationalist tv channels made it a big deal when it is not. That's just stupid.

Btw about privacy... when you get to public life like cricketers/movie stars, you do give up quite a bit in privacy area. If you are in public, expect everything to be scrutinized whether you like it or not if you are celebrity. Should just learn how to deal with it, that's all.
And btw, Harbajan is not the best in that area. He is worst dealing with public. He should learn quickly...

Try this on some heavy weight.
by Prasanna Thyamagondlu on Sep 10, 2009 05:42 AM  | Hide replies

Harbhajan should try this slapping, pushing, shoving attitude on some heavy weight champion. That will end all his adventures of throwing his weight around.

Oops... I forgot... What will happen to Indian cricket without Bhaji? His fans? The crazy fans will die without his off-spinning... They will be so glad if Harbhajan had pushed one of their family members. Anything for Bhaji...Right? what say crazy cricket loving desis?

It seems the sue culture in US is correct. If India provided such civil rights, Harbhajan wont get away with a "smirk & a sorry".

khan

Spontaneous reactions are the best ones to judge peoples' attitudes....
A spontaneous slap, or a spontaneous Maaki or a spontaneous shove in the face tells a lot ....
On the other hand a spontaneous "hey man... look where you are going" shows something else.....
And the hatred filled stare to his own countryman, which continued for about 15 seconds AFTER the accidental brush against his head told a lot more...... :)
If only an Aussie bowler would have given that sort of stare to an Indian batsman, we would have shouted racism, sledging, superior attitude, mental disintegration tactics, cheating, etc. etc. etc....
Good that we get the cricketers who treat us with the contempt we deserve...... :)

You explained human mind very well. I used to be a great cricket fan & have watched Vishwanath, Prasanna, Chandrashekar play in Bangalore.

I cant appreciate the game much after match fixing/betting scam involving Azhar (MP from UP), cricketers using profanity / abuses, Other masala such as Cheerleaders, Mallya, SRK, Preity Zinta...
When I think of how decently G.R.Vishwanath would walk off the ground before umpire's decision, today's cricket just seems to spread hatred & spurn chain of illegal activities.

We, desi fans are so blind that we dont distinguish between political Pakistan & cricketers of Pakistan whom we invited to play to promote peace.

Inwardly, many of the fans tie India-Pakistan match to war of religions.

Harbhajan, Sachin would be nobody if there was not so much money in cricket.

Lot of IT engineers would be nobody if there was no piracy of MSDOS, Windows OS of Microsoft in 80s-90s.

We need to be humans before becoming anything as KuVemPu says.
